Summer weather provides a great opportunity to dine al fresco and MontCo has some fantastic spots to enjoy a relaxing evening outdoors. Check out our list of great patios for dining outdoors this summer.

Arpeggio B.Y.O.B.

Arpeggio is a community favorite located in Springhouse and features a large covered patio as well as ample indoor seating with well-lit views. The diverse menu features Mediterranean food including wood fired pizzas, lamb, chicken, Israeli couscous with vegetables, seafood dishes and baba ganush. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner daily.

Arugula Ristorante

This restaurant offers a bit of Italy including the outdoor dining experience. Featuring dishes from Italy’s Amalfi Coast, customers can enjoy classic Italian dishes including calamari, langostine, a variety of pasta dishes and of course, arugula salads. The outdoor Roman inspired patio is located in the heart of Cold Point Village in Plymouth Meeting. The restaurant is BYOB and open daily for lunch and dinner.

Justin’s Carriage House

Justin’s offers three different patio options in the heart of Skippack Village. The Garden Patio allows you to dine in the open air or sit under the canopied umbrellas amidst beautiful plantings on the brick patio. Also available for outdoor parties, the venue seats up to 100 people. The menu features flatbread pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, selections from the BBQ pit, and a wide variety of entrees. Open daily. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights try the Parrot Bar, a beach inspired get away for summer relaxing.

Otto’s Brauhaus

Summer is time for the outdoor Bier Garten, a grand German experience, especially at Otto’s. Enjoy American favorites of steak, chicken and pasta as well as traditional German cuisine. Roots

Offering a selection of salads, pub plates, burgers and seafood entrees, there is something for everyone. Eat indoors or outdoors at a rustic wood hewn table on the elevated patio. Open daily for lunch and dinner and Sunday Brunch starting at 10 am.

Southern Cross Kitchen

This sassy little restaurant offers a “cross” between downhome southern cooking and a spin on modern comfort food. Located in the heart of Conshohocken the spot offers two levels of seating, with a cute outdoor dining area on an upstairs covered porch, two bars and plenty of atmosphere. Southern staples include fried green tomatoes, shrimp n’ grits, jambalaya and fried oyster po’ boys.  In addition to wine and beer, over a dozen varieties of Kentucky bourbon are served as well as a nice selection of whiskey and scotch. Open daily, late morning until 2 am and for weekend brunch starting at 10 am.

Tamarindo’s

Can it get any better than sipping a margarita while relaxing outdoors and enjoying contemporary Mexican cuisine? Get it all at Tamarindo’s in Flourtown. The large patio is available for dining and features live traditional music on the weekends. Purchase an entrée from the huge list of options and receive a free margarita. Selections include pulled pork enchiladas, tuna and jalapeno chimichuri sauce, shrimp tacos and chicken mole. Open Tuesday through Sunday.

Taphouse 23

Partake of an amazing patio dining experience at Taphouse 23 in the heart of Bridgeport. Although located in a quaint town, the spacious and modern patio features cozy seating, a waterfall and fire pits as well as a full bar. Menu items include wood fired pizzas, salads, beer infused mussels, burgers and a variety of entrees. Taphouse 23 has 35 beers on tap which rotate continually so there is always something new to try. Serving daily and open late until 2 am on Friday and Saturday night.

Tony’s Place – Bar and Grille

Situated just over the county line, Tony’s Place offers a brand new outdoor dining experience. A gorgeous stone patio with wrap around cushioned bench seating, umbrellas and a huge stone fireplace make Tony’s a destination you need to put on your summer dining list. The menu features everything from pizza and flat breads to steak, chicken, pasta and seafood dishes with seasonal influences. The extensive bar serves a rotating stock of 20 craft and macro beers on tap as well as top shelf spirits. Open daily from 11 am till late.
