Summer is here and Montgomery County is buzzing with events that promise to make this season unforgettable. From outdoor festivals and live music performances to family-friendly activities and cultural celebrations, there is something for everyone to enjoy over the next couple of months. Family-Friendly Activities

June Fete Fair

2990 Edge Hill Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA
June 7-9

A Women’s Board signature event held the second weekend after Memorial Day, the June Fete is an old-fashioned country fair with amusement rides, carnival games, a variety of entertainment, delicious festival food and treats, and vendors for shopping. Admission is $5 per person to enter the fair and the Horse and Pony Show (ages 6 and under are free).

Ambler Arts & Music Festival

Ambler, PA
June 14 & 15

The 2024 Ambler Arts Festival will feature over 85 exhibitors, showcasing their original art and personally hand-crafted items. Butler Ave will be closed as the artist fill the streets. The Music Fest will feature two days of free live musical performances. The party starts Friday evening and continues with 12 hours of musical performances on Saturday. Local Ambler restaurants will be setting up street fair style and offering tasty food on the go as well as outdoor table services. There will also be two beer gardens, a wine tent and more.

Elmwood Park Zoo

1661 Harding Blvd, Norristown, PA

Visit the Elmwood Park Zoo this summer. Check the event calendar for upcoming events. Sign up for breakfast with the giraffes, held throughout the month. On July 20th from 8-9:30 pm you can do a nature at night hike and learn about the world of nocturnal invertebrates.

Port Providence Paddle 

264 Canal Street, Port Providence, PA

There is nothing more fun than to be on the scenic Schuylkill River with a group of your best friends spending the day paddling on a hot summers afternoon, splashing and spraying each other as you drift down the river soaking up the suns rays and taking in all that mother nature has to offer. Book a kayak, canoe or double kayak and get out on the river!
