The Fourth of July brings parades, picnics, contests and of course, fireworks! Montgomery County has lots of ways to commemorate the founding of our nation this year. Check out where to celebrate near you.
Kiwanis Carnival and Fireworks
Wissahickon High School

This annual event features a carnival which runs nightly from July 3 through July 7 beginning at 6 pm. A fireworks spectacular takes place, Friday, July 6 at dusk, with a rain date on Saturday. Ride specials during the weekdays. Located on the high school grounds.
Fireworks & Soapbox Derby
800 Colwell Ln, Conshohocken, PA 19428
Community event and fireworks display kicks off the holiday beginning at 6 pm. Fireworks light up the sky at 9 pm. Start off the 4th with an all-American soap box derby beginning at 8 am. The course will run from 8th and Fayette streets to 5th and Fayette streets.
Real American Celebration
Renninger Memorial Park
Keswick Ave. and Parkside Ln., Glenside, PA 19038
Join the huge fun of this all day celebration in a small town community. The day begins with the “We Love America” Children’s Program from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Harry Renninger Memorial Park. Activities include decorated bike/stroller/float parades, field and sports contests, and free lunchtime refreshments.
Watch the grand parade, now in its 114th year, along the 1.5 mile parade route through Glenside. Finish the day with a spectacular fireworks display at the Abington High School and Middle School grounds.
Independence Day at Graeme Park
859 County Line Rd, Horsham, PA 19044
Remember how these United States of America were first formed during this celebration at historic Graeme Park. Hear the Declaration of Independence read at 1 pm and watch a musket firing demonstration at 2:30. Tours of the Keith house will be given throughout the day. General admission $6, children $3.

Picnic in the Park
Valley Forge National Historical Park

Join in the celebration of our nation’s founding with a host of activities from 11 am to 3pm at Valley Forge NHP. Meet a founding father and sign your name to a copy of the Declaration of Independence. Kids will enjoy “enlisting” in the Continental Army as they practice drills and march. Watch a black powder demonstration, dress-up like a colonial, make your own tricorn hat or a finger print flag, and dunk the tax collector! Rangers-led walks, trolley tours and story-telling benches will provide the history of the Valley Forge Encampment and our nation’s fight for independence.
A food tent on site and parking throughout the park. Shuttle buses will be used to handle parking in inner lots. The event is free to the public.
End the day with a free carillon concert at the Washington Memorial Chapel from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. The chapel’s 58 bronze bells will play a variety of patriotic tunes.
Barren Hill Fire Company

Join Whitemarsh Township in their annual 4th of July parade beginning at 10 am. The parade leaves the Barren Hill Fire Company and travels to Miles Park. Enjoy food, drinks, music and more in the park at parade’s end.
Waltz Golf Farm – Fireworks

This family fun center offers a free fireworks display every Fourth of July for the community. Stop by early in the evening and play mini-golf on one of their two 18-hole courses. Play on the Par 3 course or hit some balls in the batting cages.
Lower Providence Township
Concert & Fireworks

Annual concert beginning at 6:30 pm in Eagleville Park on July 4th. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy the music. Fireworks begin at dusk. Rain date is Sat., July 7th.
Carnival & Fireworks

Celebrate at a community carnival from 10 am to 2 pm complete with carnival games, fun family activities, food, a dunking booth, races, a pie eating contest and more. Then beginning at 7:30 pm, enjoy the sounds of the Zing Kings until the fireworks go off at dusk.
North Coventry Township
Norco Fire Company Fair

Annual fire company fair running July 2 to 7th from 6pm to close each day and opening at 3 pm on Saturday. Fireworks are scheduled for 10:30 pm on Fri., July 6 with a Saturday rain date. Over 20 rides, games and food including lots of seafood options, corn on the cob and a walking taco.
Parade, Block Party and Fireworks
Main Street (between DeKalb & Arch) and

Celebrate all day in Norristown with a variety of events. Start with the annual parade at 9:30 am beginning at the State Hospital grounds and then turning onto Marshall and then Main Streets. An community block party, running from 10:30 to 2:30, will feature local vendors, live music, food trucks, a beer garden and activities for the kids. Then travel to Elmwood Park for an afternoon of music and picnicking while you wait for the fireworks to begin at dusk.
Pottstown Memorial Park

Pottstown is hosting a community holiday celebration at Pottstown Memorial Park on July 4th beginging at 11 am. The festival will feature carnival rides, art and craft vendors and lots of food. Enjoy rides on the nearby Carousel at Pottstown or play a round at Manatawny Green mini-golf. Fireworks are scheduled for dusk.
Parade & Fireworks
Skippack Pk., Skippack, PA 19474
The annual parade begins at 11 am making its way along Skippack Pike, Route 73, through the main village. An afternoon BBQ will heat up at 3 pm at Parc Bistro followed by fireworks at dusk.
Pennsylvania Ave., Oreland, PA 19075
Join in a small town community parade as bands, floats and marchers make their way through Oreland. Parade starts on Pennsylvania Ave and makes its way to Marlow Field. Parade begins at 10 am.
Upper Merion Township

This annual celebration of the Fourth kicks off at 3 pm with fun for the entire family. Carnival rides, games, food and a beer court will be on site. The Mango Men take the stage at 5 pm for a concert. Hang around until dusk when fireworks will light up the sky.
