Jenkintown’s Bradley Cooper is making Montgomery County proud with his latest nomination for Best Actor in “The Silver Lining’s Playbook”. Cooper, who grew up in Jenkintown and attended Germantown Academy, also worked at the Philadelphia Daily News for a short while. After which he left to pursue his acting 
Without giving away too much of the actual movie itself, “The Silver Linings Playbook” is basically about a man who has lost everything. His job, wife, and house, along with a mandatory stay at a state institution. His release from incarceration lands him back home in the company of his Philadelphia fantaic parents played by Jacki Weaver and Robert DeNiro. Pat Solatano (Bradley Cooper) begins trying to put the pieces of his life back together, one of the biggest being his wife. However, an unexpected woman comes into Pat’s life, one who suffers from much of the same pain that Pat has gone through. 
The Ambler Theater is a great spot for date night and is currently playing The Silver Linings Playbook. Stop through Ambler Main Street for a bite to eat at any one of their famous restaurants, then head right next door for a flick in one of Montco’s most historic theaters!
