The Plymouth Township Police Association, in conjunction with the Whitemarsh Township and Conshohocken Borough Police Departments, are pleased to announce the start of the Brad Fox ‘Stache Bash. Starting April 1st, police officers from across Montgomery County will be growing their best and most creative mustaches for 40 days as they seek donations for the family of Plymouth K9 Officer Brad Fox.
The fund drive will kick off with a “Shave Off” at the Lucky Dog Saloon (417 Germantown Pike Lafayette Hill, PA 19444) on Monday, April 1st from 5PM to 8PM. Officers will have their last clean shave as they begin this journey with a spirit of camaraderie and brotherhood. The fund drive will conclude with a Beef and Beer event at the Spring Mill Fire Company Ballroom (1210 East Hector Street Conshohocken, PA 19428) on Friday, May 10th with live music and prizes. Participating officers will be judged and awarded prizes for their newly grown mustaches in several categories.
Officer Brad Fox was a five year veteran of the Plymouth Township Police Department. Prior to his service to the citizens of Plymouth Township, he served in the United States Marine Corps. He completed two combat tours in Iraq and was honorably discharged in 2009 after ten years of dedicated service.
On Thursday, September 13, 2012, Officer Fox was on duty and pursuing a suspect with his K9 partner, Nick. Officer Fox suffered a fatal gunshot wound as the suspect ambushed him from an elevated position. Nick also suffered a gunshot wound, but has fully recovered from his injury. Brad left behind his pregnant wife, Lynsay, and their infant daughter, Kadence. Our community lost a true hero and dear friend.
