VROOM. VROOM. Ladies and gentlemen start your engines! It’s time for another fun Bike Night in Glenside, PA. On August 6th from 4pm to 9pm motorcyclists from all over Montgomery County will be cruising down Easton Road, between Waverly Road and Mt. Carmel Avenue to show off their spokes. Bikers love to ride and a ride through Glenside will be a fun ride for all of those Harley-Davidson owners out there. I know my step-dad will probably be in attendance. He loves cruising helmetless (not recommended) through the streets of Montgomery County on his Heritage Softail Classic. My mom will be right there on the back, enjoying the breeze (with a helmet on of course).
August 6th should be a fun night filled with lots of entertainment, food, music, and most importantly, MOTORCYCLES. The live music will be provided by rockabilly band Dibbs and the Detonators. While you listen to the live tunes you can check out the display of custom bikes, eat some of the best food Glenside, PA has to offer, and even dunk a local politician in the dunk tank! Now, if the opportunity to dunk a Montgomery County, PA politician doesn’t get you out of your living room and into the community, we don’t know what will! 😉
Now we all know that we’ve been having one of the driest summers in a long-time here in Montgomery County, PA, but if for some reason we run into inclement weather on August 6th, Bike Night will be rescheduled for the following day, August 7th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you own a motorcycle we definitely encourage you to cruise through Glenside for Bike Night 2011. Even if you don’t own a motorcycle, but simply want to find a fun family event in Montgomery County, Bike Night will be a blast. If you see a bald guy driving a Harley, give him a wave, that’s my step-dad!
