Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show & Country Fair
When: Saturday, August 31 through Monday, September 2 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: 5 Nantmeal Road, Glenmoore
Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show has been a Labor Day Weekend tradition for over 75 years, featuring 33 acres of family fun. In addition to the daily horse show, there’s plenty of other attractions for the entire family. Look forward to live music, pony rides, games, inflatables, rides, a beer garden, car show and more. Breakfast with the Animals at Elmwood Park Zoo
When: Saturday and Sunday, August 31 and September 1 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Where: 1661 Harding Boulevard, Norristown

150 Fest Presented by Ursinus College
When: Sunday, September 1 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: Ursinus College, Berman Museum Front Lawn, 601 East Main Street, Collegeville
Ursinus College is kicking off its 150th anniversary year with a community-wide event featuring live music, food trucks, games, vendors, a wine and beer garden, moon bounces, face painting and more. The event is free and open to the public.
Free Admission at Elmwood Park Zoo for Norristown Borough Residents
When: Sunday, September 1 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: 1661 Harding Boulevard, Norristown
Norristown Borough residents can enjoy the Elmwood Park Zoo free of charge on the first Sunday of each month begging at 2 p.m. Just prsesnt a valid photo ID.
Longwood Gardens Fireworks and Fountain Show
When: Sunday, September 1 at 8:15 p.m. (held rain or shine)
Where: Main Fountain at Longwood Gardens, 1001 Longwood Road, Kennett Square
Longwood Gardens isn’t actually in Montgomery County, but it’s close enough that it’s an easy day trip. After enjoying a day in the vast and beautiful gardens, experience a captivating Fireworks and Fountain Show, set to the theme “Night At The Movies” and choreographed to musical scores from an array of popular films, including The Greatest Showman, Footloose, Grease and many more!
Sesame Place Labor Day Fireworks
When: Sunday, September 1 at approximately 8:25 p.m.
Where: Sesame Place, 100 Sesame Road, Langhorne, PA
Following the 8 p.m. performance of the nightly Neighborhood Street Party Night Parade, enjoy a thrilling Fireworks extravaganza! Choreographed to the music of Sesame Street, the bursts of light and excitement will have the whole family in awe! Tickets are required to view from within the park, but you can always try to find a spot in nearby parking lots to view from your car. (Just be aware of traffic from the event.) Labor Day BBQ and Brews at Iron Abbey Gastro Pub
When: Monday, September 2 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: 680 N. Easton Road, Horsham
Iron Abbey is hosting an all-inclusive BBQ and Brews Party in honor of the holiday. The 2.5 hour package includes your choice of 10 selected drafts (or substitute house wine), plus filet wrapped in bacon, pork ribs, Brazilian sausage and more. The event is $25 per person.
