Breathing Room Foundation has been providing care and support to families who have been affected by cancer since 1997. A cancer diagnosis can affect multiple aspects of a family’s life, so this organization provides them with whatever they need that will allow them some “breathing room” from their daily struggles.

Breathing Room Foundation is looking for kind and caring volunteers to assist them in their mission. Volunteer tasks include working directly with their families, cooking meals, performing administrative tasks, making deliveries and more. Interested volunteers are welcome to fill out the form on the website.

This organization is also hosting some upcoming events for additional involvement. They are currently advertising their Back to School Program 2025, where they are providing over 200 families with school supplies to start the school year off strong. The website outlines a full list of requested supplies, which you can drop off at the BRF office located in Elkins Park.

On September 28, they will also be hosting the 2025 Valley Road Run, a 5K run or 2-mile walk in Rydal, PA.
