Abington Fest

Roslyn Park, 2738 Fernwood Ave, Abington, PA
October 2-4

Start with a screening of Halloweentown at Roychester Park on Friday at 7 pm. On Saturday, the Kids’ Dash and 5K begin at Roslyn Park at 8 and 8:30 am, followed by the free Fall Festival at Crestmont Park from noon to 3 pm. Expect Touch a Truck, Trunk or Treat, crafts, music, and food trucks. Sunday’s parent-child golf tournament at Alverthorpe Park has 10 am and noon sessions, with registration limited to Abington Township residents. Each activity is at a different park; check the township schedule before you go.

From Tower to Garden Tour | Glencairn Museum

Explore Glencairn’s architecture and gardens on a 75-minute guided tour that connects the building’s design to the Pitcairn family’s life. Admission includes access to The Sacred Art of Ethiopia exhibition. Reservations are required; the museum lists adult admission at $15 and senior/student admission at $12.

Edgar Allan Poe Porch Performance

Sat., October 3rd at 4pm

Settle in for an outdoor performance inspired by Poe’s vivid, unsettling stories at Pennypacker Mills. Bring a chair or blanket. The county lists the program for all ages and credits the Friends of Pennypacker Mills as sponsor.

Upper Merion Community Fair and Fall Festival

Heuser Park, 694 W Beidler Road, King of Prussia
Saturday, October 3, 3–8 pm

Make an afternoon of live music, crafters, food vendors, hayrides, a pumpkin patch, face painting, and inflatables. The township says admission is free, with some attractions and vendor purchases priced separately. Fireworks are scheduled at dusk, and the festival runs rain or shine.

Boo at the Zoo

Bring your little ghouls and ghosts to Elmwood Park Zoo’s annual Halloween haunt, where the entire Zoo is transformed for a kooky, spooky Halloween celebration! Come dressed in your most creative costume (adults are encouraged to dress up, too) and don’t forget to bring a bag for all of the treat and activity stations located throughout the Zoo.
