“The worst thing someone can say to you is ‘no.’” A truth that we’ve all been told at some point or another, and a way of life for Branded Productions owner Ed Seiders. Ed’s passion for film started when he was a teenager. He attended Lansdale Catholic High School, where he fell in love with television and video production. Ed joined his school’s studio production class, where he developed the skills he would need to one day run his own production company. With dedication and perseverance, Ed quickly climbed the ranks to become a producer for his high school’s programming class.
branded 1Seiders has always been a big believer of the statement “Find a job you’ll love and you’ll never work a day in your life.” When Ed was 17 years old he decided to start his business.  He graduated from Lansdale Catholic and continued his education at Temple University; all while running his business. And so, after graduating college, with a desire to succeed and just enough perseverance (one of Ed’s favorite words), he continued running Branded Productions full-time.

In their first 5 years of business, Branded Productions did a lot of wedding videography. The Branded team enjoyed doing weddings and other small, local events, but they knew there was more opportunity out there. Reminding himself that “the worst someone could say was no,” Ed took to the phones and started calling local businesses asking if they needed video produced.branded 3

The Branded Productions office is nestled comfortably in North Wales, but that hasn’t stopped them from travelling the globe to produce great content for their clients. Their portfolio of work has involved every kind of industry, from small mom-and-pop businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Recently, the Branded Productions team had the opportunity to travel to and film on one of Richard Branson’s private islands in the Virgin Islands. Talk about a sweet gig!

During their time there, the company’s talented crew of filmmakers shot footage of The Necker Open, a pro-am golf tournament that featured celebrities like Chevy Chase and Greg Norman. Branded Productions was able to create a recap of the event that was so awesome; they were invited back to film again for the November/December 2015 Necker Cup.

So, what does it take to have Richard Branson request you specifically to come and film his events? Obviously, it takes top-notch video equipment to record great footage. Branded Productions isn’t the company it is today simply because of the technology, though. Seiders says the secret to his success is having a team of people crazy-passionate about the work they produce.
11221594_887490561294123_182835743496725896_nInteracting with people is another huge component, and ultimately what made Branded Productions the company that it is today. “It took a lot of perseverance,” Seiders told me in a phone interview. Simply picking up the phone and calling people, getting what you’re offering out there into the world – that’s what helps a business grow. That was all it took to get the ball rolling with Branded Productions.

One job lead to another, and word quickly spread that Branded Productions was offering corporate video, and the projects continued rolling in. 13 years later Branded Productions has developed into one of the leading local broadcasting and media production companies in the area. For Ed, this has been a dream come true. His hard work and dedication have paid off – he has fulfilled his dream working in the film production industry, and has found people just as driven as he is to help him continue living that dream. branded

In the 13 years Branded Productions has been in business, technology has obviously changed. To keep ahead of their competition and stay relevant in the industry, Seiders urged the importance of staying up-to-date on the newest technology. With the best and newest technology at their disposal, Ed’s crew is able to create meaningful and relevant work for their clients.

What’s next for Branded Productions? Well for starters, they are excited to be one of the first companies in the area to offer Drone Photo and Video, which allows them to capture superior-quality images and footage from great heights. Shots that were once an impossible feat are now possible at Branded Productions. Ed also explained that we could expect to see some pretty incredible 360-degree footage in the very near future!

As for Ed and his ever-expanding business, every day is an adventure. The creative minds of the filmmakers and editors at Branded Productions love what they do, which is apparent in the work that they produce. This is an all-around creative Montgomery County agency, ready to help businesses across the globe tell their story.
