The Breastfeeding Resource Center (BRC) is about to open their third location, in King of Prussia. The community-based nonprofit center will be bringing their expert clinical and educational breastfeeding services to families in the King of Prussia area.

A grand opening meet and greet will be held February 23 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for new moms (and their babies) and community members to meet the staff. Wine and snacks will be provided at the new office located at 989 Old Eagle School Rd., Wayne, PA.

The BRC currently serves families in two Philadelphia-area locations: Abington and Bensalem, as well as to mothers delivering babies at Temple and Holy Redeemer Hospitals. The BRC provides a warm and welcoming environment, where our friendly staff makes every attempt to replicate the comforts of home. Their compassionate, professional style has led to an excellent relationship with other health care professional in the community.

Our new King of Prussia office will be staffed with an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), who specializes in the clinical management of breastfeeding. Some health insurance plans cover breastfeeding services; however for those who are not covered, the BRC offers a unique sliding scale of payment, based on family income level. This sliding scale ensures that lactation services are affordable and available to all.
