119th Anniversary International Exhibition of Works on Paper

The Philadelphia Water Color Society will be hosting the 119h Anniversary International Exhibition of Works on Paper. The dates are September 7 – October 11, 2019.  The selected artwork will be on exhibition at the Wallingford Community Art Center, 414 Plush Mill Rd., Wallingford, PA.  The exhibition will include not only water colors but pastel, acrylic, graphite, gouache, charcoal, pen & ink, colored pencil and hand pulled prints. There were 99 artworks selected from over 200 artists submissions.  The artwork represents artists from the local tri-state area as well as the entire United States and some from the Pacific Rim 

Audubon Bird Town Bird Walk

Join the regularly scheduled third-Tuesday-of-the-month bird walk led by members of the Wyncote Audubon Society.  The walk will start from the parking lot on Moredon Road.  Expect to see spring warblers, vireos, and other songbirds as well as birds of prey, waterfowl, and others.  Bring binoculars if you have them.  Ages: adults and children 12 and up.

3rd Friday Meet the Artists-Students edition

Souderton 3rd Fridays is an outdoor event right outside our door, running from April through October annually: Block Party meets Date Night. Inside Art, on the Hill, we welcome 2 local artists each month selling their work alongside our 30+ artists. This month it is “back to school”. High school student Grant Yoder creates stunning and functional inlaid wood cutting boards and trays. He even makes his own wood conditioner! College student Sydney Braeunig has photographs on canvas, glass, and matted prints. They will both be here that night from 6:30-8: 30 pm.

Craft Marketplace At Pennypacker Mill

Do not miss this event!  The Eighth Annual Craft Marketplace at Pennypacker Mills is sold out!  We have 100 craftsmen filling 103 spaces selling everything you could possibly want, so start your holiday shopping here.  Everything is handcrafted.  We have lots of beautiful jewelry, carved birds, scroll saw ornaments, soaps, balms, essential oils, yoga bags, stained glass, handpainted glassware, doll clothes, fresh and canned  foods, honey and honey products, alpaca goods, macramé, home décor, dog cookies and accessories, and so much more.  Check our website at www.friendsppm.org for a complete list of crafters and their goods.  Take a break and get breakfast or lunch at our food vendor, and when you’re done shopping, tour the turn-of-the-20th Century mansion.
