Upper Dublin Parks & Recreation Flea Market and Sports Swap

FLEA MARKET:

We believe that “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure!” What a great way to locate inexpensive items, clothing, jewelry, furniture, electronics, toys and games. UDP&R will sell snacks during the day.
Event takes place in the UDTB parking lot. It will move indoors for inclement weather. (All ages)
Location: UDTB
Event takes place on Saturday, 6/6 8a-1p $15R/$20NR
Vendors: Reservations are on a “first come, first served” basis. If outdoors, you must supply your own tables/chairs. Each space is 10 ft x 20 ft. If moved indoors, you will be supplied with a table/chairs. You must supply your own change.

SPORTS SWAP INFO:

We’re collecting and distributing used sports equipment for reuse in the Upper Dublin community.
Don’t throw your gear away – swap it for gear you need! Collection and swap takes place at UDTB.
Drop off your stuff : Monday, June 1 to Friday, June 5
*Pick out new stuff : Saturday, June 6 from 8a-1p
*you DO NOT need to donate in order to take items!
All gear must be gently used/new. We are collecting:
• Cleats of any kind
• New mouth guards
• Girls LAX/field hockey: sticks & goggles
• Boys LAX/field hockey: sticks, helmets & pads
• Softball/baseball: gloves, bats, helmets & pants
• Football: compression shorts & heatguard shirts
• Soccer: shin guards
• Ice skates & hockey equipment

Audubon Bird Town Bird Walk

Join the regularly scheduled third-Tuesday-of-the-month bird walk led by members of the Wyncote Audubon Society.  Bring binoculars if you have them.  Expect to see warblers, vireos, other songbirds, waterfowl, and raptors.  Ages: adults and children 12 and up.  Meet in the parking lot on Moredon Road.

Meet at the Welsh Road/Terwood Road parking area for the Pennypack Trail.  This is one of the regular third-Tuesday-of-the-month morning bird walks that are led by members of the Wyncote Audubon Society.  Explore the Pennypack Trail in the area of the Bethayres Swamp, an official Audubon IBA (Important Bird Area).  Look for resident winter birds and early spring migrants.  All are welcome, both new birders and those with experience.  Bring binoculars if you have them.  Pre-registration is preferred, but not required.  Ages: adults and children 12 and up.

Vintage Base Ball at its Best~!

Bring the entire family to enjoy an afternoon of vintage baseball as the Athletic Baseball Club of Philadelphia plays against a team from the Mid-Atlantic Baseball League on the fields of Pennypacker Mills. Watch as players wear vintage style uniforms and play by 1860’s rules. Kids may play Town Ball at the conclusion of the game. The Pennypacker mansion will be open for tours. Root for your favorite team and enjoy a bit of history too!

Bring a blanket or chair to sit on. Free, suggested donation $2/person.

If using a GPS, it will take you to our mailbox, not the main entrance. The entrance is located BEFORE the mailbox…look for a large grey and maroon sign and enter.  Rangers will direct you to public parking. Handicapped parking available. Public restrooms located in small stucco building on pathway to mansion. Tours of the mansion are from 1 to 4 pm, with last tour at 3 pm. Tours take approx. 1 hour.

Victorian Tea: The Old West!

Dress in your favorite summer fashions to delight in afternoon tea at one of the most picturesque spots in Montgomery County. Enjoy this time honored tradition with the special people in your life as elegant Victorian ladies and distinguished gentlemen. Enjoy tea sandwiches, scones, and delectable desserts along with freshly brewed tea while you enjoy  Stories & Songs of the Old West with Matthew Dodd. Matthew plays a variety of instruments and blends the stories of the Old West with the songs that were popular at that time. Tap your toes and sing along!
