Corn Maze & Pumpkin Picking Guide 2018

Picking pumpkins and meandering through acres of corn paths are fall traditions that never seems to go out of style. Although unusually heavy seasonal rain has delayed the start of the season, most farms are up and ready to go for the month of October. Check out this list of hot spots in MontCo to challenge yourself with a maze, enjoy a hayride or select that prize pumpkin for this year’s carving contest.

Merrymead Farm

A five-acre maze offering daytime or moonlight fun. Merrymead is a working dairy farm with plenty of fall activities. Visit the apple shed for seasonal produce, cider and decorations. Take a hayride around the farm.  Little ones will enjoy the corn stalk tunnel, face painting and inflatables. Northern Star Farm

Northern Star Farm features two mazes covering 14 acres of fun! Lots of activities for family daytime fun including a goat walk, giant apple slingshots and an air cannon. Kids will love a hayride to the pumpkin patch, pony rides and feeding the animals. Enjoy cider and doughnuts, too. This farm’s corn maze is open for daytime and moonlight wandering.  Visit any weekend through Saturday, November 3. Warm up around the public camp fire ring beginning at 7 pm –  BYO sticks and marshmallows. Hayrides to the pick-your-own patch and barn rental for private parties. R&J Farm Market

R&J’s six-acre maze always features a unique design that is personally created by the farm’s owners. The maze will be open Fridays and Saturdays throughout October. Enjoy a first responders theme at the area’s largest maze, featuring eight miles of trails spread over 25 acres. Wind your way through 3 figures and 3 emergency services vehicles outlined in smaller mazes that fit together into one large experience.  Little ones looking for fun will enjoy the smaller Dalmatian dog corn maze or the hay bale maze. This dairy farm located just over the border in Bucks County offers a 5-acre professionally designed corn maze.  Answer trivia question to get clues that will help you through the maze. Looking for a few chills and thrills? The farm’s entertainment also offers the Cornwalk of Horror, Haunted Hay Maze and a Haunted Hay Ride.  Non-scary versions are available during daylight hours. Abby’s Pumpkin Farm
