Star Wars Breakfast at Elmwood Park Zoo
Saturday, June 18, 2016 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Enjoy an out-of-this-world meal with your friends from a galaxy far, far away! Our celebration of all things Star Wars kicks off with a buffet-style breakfast in the Canopy Gardens Hall. Guests are encouraged to dress up like their favorite character, and children will receive a free zoo-themed light saber!

At noon the party continues with appearances by Star Wars characters, members of the Garrison Carida® chapter of the 501st Legion. Sample Local Brewery Beers

For those of legal drinking age, taking your father on a local brewery tour could be a great way to score some points.  On Saturday the 18th, the Slyfox Brewery in Royersford offers a free guided tour where visitors get to “see and smell the full brewing experience.”

Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant in North Wales also features its own brand of brewed beer.  Stop by 1-9PM this Father’s Day for the Sunday Prime Time special.  For $19.95 one receives salad or soup + glass of house beer or wine + choice of Roast Prime Rib of Beef au Jus or Pan Seared North Atlantic Salmon.

For seven consecutive weeks, locals are invited to the lawn at Township Building Park to enjoy a diverse range of talented musicians in the 32nd Annual Summer Concerts Under the Stars. The ‘Daring Dad’ Scavenger Hunt

Bring your dad to Norristown Farm Park this Father’s Day for a challenging nature scavenger hunt. He will have to follow a series of clues to find the items or answer questions. The first dad back with all the requirements met is the winner! Families are welcome to help dad in the search. Pre-registration is required. Meet in parking lot #5. All ages are welcome.

Visit the Little Lost Creek Alpaca Farm: The Little Lost Creek Alpaca Farm in Salford breeds quality alpacas, produces fine fiber for hand spinners and knitters, and hosts a variety community events, camps, and programs. Visitors are welcome to the farm and shop by appointment at 1980 Quarry Road, Salford, Pennsylvania 18957.

Relive History: This 42 acre historic park off of County Line Road in Horsham features the 18th century governor’s mansion called the Keith House.

Go Camping: This long time father/son tradition definitely needs to be added to the list.  Deep Creek Campground in Green Lane Park offers family camping along with various other recreational activities.
