Since entering the “green phase,” Montco can now offer limited indoor seating at restaurants. But with the restrictions in place, people’s personal comfort levels, and just a general fondness for dining al fresco, outdoor options still remain a popular choice. We’re sharing just some of the many wonderful local spots with outdoor seating that goes beyond just eating in the fresh air.

Live Music

If you’re looking for some entertainment to go with your meal, there are plenty of outdoor venues in Montgomery County to choose from, including Montco Happening List Finalist for Best Outdoor Dining, Creekside Sports Bar in Limerick.

Enjoy the View

Surround yourself in history at the Joseph Ambler Inn in North Wales, a Montco Happening List Finalist for Best Outdoor Dining. What started as a bed and breakfast in 1983 is now  52-room luxury hotel with a highly acclaimed restaurant spread across five historic buildings, including iconic stone lodges, a clapboard guest house and a large barn.

Enjoy riverside dining at Puddler’s Kitchen & Tap beer garden in Bridgeport – part of the Conshohocken Brew Co. – an outdoor oasis along the Schuylkill River that includes food trucks, street tacos and other snacks as well as oversized Jenga and Connect-Four games. Plus, it’s  dog friendly.

Picnic fare

With parks and trails aplenty in Montco, including Hunterdon Happening List Winner for Most Scenic View Perkiomen Trail, they make for great picnic sites.
