March 2nd is Dr. Seuss’s birthday and Harleysville Books is celebrating this special occasion by hosting two great events for kids! The first will be a PJ Party and storytime with Dr. Seuss’s “Sleep Book!” So tell your kids they don’t have to get dressed Saturday morning, they can rock their pj’s and bring their favorite stuffed animal too if they want. The second event is a Crazy Hat Party and storytime with the reading of “500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins.” All children who attend will also be taking part in playing games, making crafts, and of course having birthday cupcakes in honor of one of our most beloved authors! “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” ― Dr. Seuss
*Each event will be able to accommodate up to 12 children, registration is required to confirm your attendance. There is a program fee of $5 per child.

About Harleysville Books
Harleysville Books is owned and operated by Shelly Plumb, a Harleysville resident. With a love for reading and a desire to be involved in the community, Shelly opened Harleysville Books on June 10, 2006.
Starting with new books only, Harleysville Books welcomed the community with a variety of programs for families, book clubs and teachers. Over the first few years, they listened to the needs of the community and added a Recycled Books program in January, 2009. Harleysville Books has also forged relationships with public and private schools in the surrounding area.
As the only independent bookstore servicing the communities of Harleysville, Souderton, Telford, Franconia, Green Lane and more, Harleysville Books is proud to be a part of the community. They support the Indie Bound movement which helps support local, independent businesses like their own. Montco Happening wanted to thank the owners and staff for providing our community, kids and families with a fun outlet for education. They encourage reading for everyone of all ages, and we will always support that!
