The Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce welcomes everyone to come and enjoy its 52nd Annual Hatboro Holiday Parade on Sunday, November 18th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. The parade will start at Summit Avenue and march South ending at Newington Drive.

“Each year thousands of spectators line up along the York Road parade route to celebrate and share in this season of thankfulness and hope,” says Joseph J. Tryon, Jr., chamber president. “We want to showcase the borough’s terrific businesses and community spirit with this colorful and lively free family event which is the largest celebration of its kind in Montgomery County.”

This year’s Hatboro Holiday Parade theme is “Hawaiian Holiday” featuring Hatboro’s own Paul “Big Bear” Swanger as Grand Marshall. The parade will be comprised of more than 100 units with 4,000–5,000 participants, including floats, high school marching bands, string bands, military units, youth and dance groups, fire and rescue units, scouts, community organizations, dignitaries and public officials.

The Aqua String Band will escort Santa and Mrs. Claus who will arrive at the grand finale of the parade in a horse-drawn carriage provided by A Better Way Farm, in Newtown. Children are encouraged to bring their letters for Santa which will be collected by Santa’s Helpers from UPS. The parade is completely funded by donations and sponsorships.

The Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce, located at 120 S. York Road, Suite 6, hosts special and annual events to support area businesses, both large and small, including the Halloween Stroll, Holiday Parade and Moonlight Memories Car Show. The car show is now in its 20th year, and drew more than 50,000 visitors to Hatboro this July.
