Celebrate HOWLoween with your favorite human and canine buddies in this unique family-friendly event to help support Home at Last Dog Rescue. In the spirit of Halloween, costumes are highly encouraged as you run the 5K Race (leashed dogs are also invited to run) or stroll the 1-Mile Dog Walk. All participants, two and four legged, are invited to stay after the race for a Fall Festival which will include food, games, and activities for you, the kids, and your pup!
All proceeds from the 5K and Fall Festival will benefit Home at Last Dog Rescue, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The Home At Last Dog Rescue of North Wales has made it their mission to save the lives of homeless/helpless dogs by pulling them from shelters and offering them foster families until they find their much deserved, “forever home”. They provide a necessary alternative to the purchase of puppy mill and pet store dogs, thereby reducing the demand for, and ultimately the supply of such dogs.
Home At Last is dedicated to matching each pup with the right family after the dog has been observed in a foster home. The group of volunteers have one heart filled goal, to save the lives of homeless dogs suffering in high-kill shelters, as well as owner-surrender dogs who need to be re-homed due to unfortunate circumstances. This not a shelter, and that’s exactly why what we love best about them. In fact, they pull dogs from other various shelters and provide foster homes until they are adopted. Click here to learn more about their adoption process and how you can help foster or adopt a new best friend!
As a growing rescue group, Home at Last Dog Rescue is always in need of volunteers who can assist in saving dogs. If you are able to provide a foster home for a four legged friend until they are adopted, please e-mail, homeatlastdogrescue@yahoo.com for more information. Fostering is such a rewarding experience and is vital to their goal of placing rescued dogs into new permanent homes.
