The birds are chirping, the sun is starting to shine, and it’s time to get back outside. It’s easy to enjoy the outdoors with plenty of parks and playgrounds for you and your kids or pups to enjoy. With so many great options, you can try a new one every week and find a favorite.

Black Rock Park

1286 Black Rock Road, Phoenixville, PA

Black Rock Park has it all: baseball and softball fields, tennis and basketball courts, and grills and tables for picnicking.  There are 2 playgrounds for different ages, a walking track, biking trail and skate park.

Manderach Memorial Playground

646 W Ridge Pike Limerick, PA

This playground is located within Limerick Community Park, which has a walking track, softball and baseball fields, basketball and sand volleyball courts. It has lots of areas and equipment to play on, separated by age levels.  It is closed every first Monday of the month from 7am to 2pm, so keep that in mind if you like to visit on weekdays.

Stony Creek Park

200 E Hancock Street, Lansdale, PA

This is a smaller park, great for afternoon strolls and visits to the pond.  There is a small playground, gazebos, and a sandbox.  Bathrooms are portable.

Rambo Park

646 W Ridge PikeLimerick, PA

Rambo Park has a good sized playground for the kids, and nice walks through the trails and around the frog pond.  There is a butterfly garden, water fountain for people and dogs, and offers plenty of shade trees and benches for a peaceful, relaxing time outdoors.

Spring Valley Park Playground

703 Lennox Ct, Lansdale, PA

The playground here is enclosed to keep little ones safe, and offers nice walking and running trails, fields for playing and bathrooms. There is a tennis court and plenty of space to play.

Everybody’s Playground, Lukens Park

540 Dresher Rd, Horsham, PA

This park offers a playground that is suitable for younger kids, and plenty of space to walk and play for older kids and adults. There are some water features for the summer, basketball courts, and it’s handicap accessible.  There are bathrooms and a pavilion with picnic tables, and scattered benches with umbrellas for shade.

Friendship Park

200 Enclave Blvd, North Wales, PA

Opened in 2021, this park offers pickleball courts, large fields, a covered pavilion and ADA accesibility.  There is a handicap swing and soft, padded grounds. There is plenty of parking, restrooms, and a half mile walking path.

Ashbridge Park

1301 Montgomery Ave, Bryn Mawr, PA

There is a good amount of open space here, and tennis/pickleball courts.  It has a nice walking path, shaded tables, and a playground with lots of equipment to explore and enjoy.

Parkside Place Park

1 Parkside Pl, North Wales, PA

Parkside Place boasts a long list of equipment and activities for children and adults.  There are 2 walking and biking trails, tennis, pickleball and basketball courts.  There is a pool complex, pavilion, and and an extensive wooden play structure with slides, towers, and bridges, and lots of additional areas for learning, exploring and playing.

Fischer’s Park

2235 Bustard Rd, Harleysville, PA

Fischer’s Park is located on 77 acres of land.  There are 3 miles of trails to walk, run, or bike with benches located throughout, and 5 covered pavilions. It has 2 boccee courts, 2 playgrounds, and large grassy areas for running and playing. It has bathrooms, and chess and checkers tables, along with a performance space for movies and music events.

Waterworks Park

220 W 1st Ave, Collegeville, PA

Waterworks Park has soccer and baseball fields, and a playground and sandboxes for kids. There are several shaded walking trails that loop around the park, and cross a small creek to an area with a pavilion with picnic tables and grills.

Sutcliffe Park

900 Freedly Street, Conshohocken, PA

Sutcliffe Park has baseball and softball fields, basketball courts, hiking trails and a picnic area.  The playground is great for kids of all ages, and has benches seated within and around the park. There are some great spots to watch beautiful sunsets, too.
