John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove (JJAC) is hosting a teasel workshop and The Unfeathered Bird author presentation on Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 12:00pm to 3:30pm. The events will take place in the historic barn at the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove, located at 1201 Pawlings Road, Audubon, PA.
The annual Teasel Critter Workshop will take place from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. Our residents are invited to bring the kids out to make cute critters out of teasels and other natural materials. Their imaginations will be in full swing as they are encouraged to design the most creative teasels to take home as a souvenir! Admission is free but registration is required.
English author Katrina van Grouw will then present on her book The Unfeathered Bird. With over 300 drawings of 200 species, her book is the most richly illustrated book on bird anatomy ever produced. The presentation is from 2:00pm to 3:00pm with an author meet and greet from 3:00pm to 3:30pm. Admission for this event is $8 per person and registration is also required. Her book is currently on sale in the gift shop and will be available for purchase during the event.
