Lost faith in humanity lately…?  It might sound like a morbid question, but the sad thing is that some of us might have thought “yes”, if even just for a brief moment.  Unfortunately it has become all too easy for us to get lost in the negative these days.  Let’s face it, even the five o’clock news is difficult to get through without feeling discouraged.  However, every now and again we are reminded of some ordinary people doing extraordinary things, stories that brighten up even our darkest hours.   Thankfully today was just one of those days, as we learned about the helping hands of James Sankan, a Moncto resident whose heart and support is being felt half way across the world.

James started the Shepherd’s Village Foundation  in early 2012 as a means to help improve the lives of the Maasai, Africa’s most recognized and respected tribal communities.  Since then and with the help of our local community, James has now helped bring fresh running water to a community who was in desperate need.  You can help James and the Shepherd’s Village Foundation by reading, donating, and sharing their mission and purpose!
