Carnival of Lights

Come walk through over 200,000 Holiday lights and Characters over several acres of ground all set in time to your favorite Holiday Songs. Spend time at the Gingerbread Castle and sing along with the singing Christmas Trees, & Ride the Life Sized Christmas Train around the 20′ Tree and the other rides. The Carnival of Lights provides a complete immersing experience that you and your family will remember for years to come. Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for children 4-12; free ages 3 and under. Snap a photo with Santa, then explore the zoo after filling up on holiday favorites! There are 8 brunch sessions held on select days in December and reservations are required, as spaces are limited.

Annual Outdoor Santa Visit with Bussinger Trains

When: Saturday, December 12 from noon to 3 p.m.
Where: Bussinger Trains, 23 West Butler Pike, Ambler

This free outdoor event will be set up keeping CDC and social distancing guidelines in mind. There will be 2 chairs set up 6 feet apart for a contact-free visit with Santa with plenty of decorations set up for great photo opps. (BYO camera!) Drop your Santa letters in the North Pole mailbox and enter the free raffle giveaway. Masks are required.

Santa at Lochel’s Bakery

When: Saturday, December 19, 2020, 10am-12pm
Where: Lochel’s Bakery 57 S. York Road, Hatboro, PA

Grab the kids and family and head down to Lochel’s Bakery for both sweet treats and a special visit with Santa, conducted from the window! Children are encouraged to bring along their Christmas lists to drop in Santa’s mailbox in front of the bakery! A helper will even be on hand to hand him any letters children would like him to read at the time.

Unlike other years, to maintain safety and social distancing, Santa will be in front the bakery’s glass windows so children can wave and pose in front of the glass for photos! Bring along your own camera and plan to attend rain or shine, as a tent will be placed out front in the event of rain/inclement weather. Find out more HERE.

Christmas Tree Farms

Within Montgomery County, a plethora of tree farms and pop-up tree locations exist to make the tree hunting experience both a special and memorable one. Whether you and/or family prefer chopping your own tree by hand, purchasing a pre-cut tree or even shopping virtually for a tree or by car and picking it up curbside, there is an option to meet all needs this holiday season. Many of the locations below have mobilized to meet safety and social distancing guidelines and standards and offer a multitude of ways to shop for a tree and décor:

Multiple options are provided at Hague’s to ensure customers receive the specific Christmas tree of their choice. A choose and cut Christmas tree experience offers visitors a cart and saw and their tree of choice. If cutting your own tree isn’t of interest, fresh cut trees are available for purchase, as well.

Trees are marked with height, width and price; choose from an array of trees including Douglas Fir, Nordman Fir, Fraser Fir, Concolor Fir and more. Beyond trees, wreaths, greenery, tree stands and more are all available for purchase. This year, a drive-thru and curbside service is being offered December 1-17th on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays only, with 11am-1pm reserved for drive thru. During drive-thru, customers can view and purchase items from the comfort of their vehicles. For curbside, check the website for product offerings and call to order.

When: Friday, November 27, 2020 at 8am, Daily, daytime hours only, in the evenings, the market will be open and fresh trees are available to purchase from there-Ongoing through the season.

Visit the farm to hop on a wagon ride to cut your own tree or purchase a pre-cut tree. Also, be sure to stop into the farm market for treats, produce, even visit the unique train display upstairs in the gift shop and more! While perusing for a tree, enjoy a complimentary cup of hot chocolate or hot cider and visit with the farm animals. For customers cutting their own trees, horse drawn wagon rides are available only on the weekends, weather permitting. Tractor-drawn wagons are used daily and on December 21 and 22nd, they will be available to the public for $5 each.

Stop back on December 21 at 6pm, when they hold their annual Live Nativity. Light refreshments will also be served.
