Finding things to do on a winter weekend can be tough, but we’re here to help! Here are a few ideas for this weekend.

“Discover Christmas at Glencairn” Self-Guided Museum Tours

When: January 20 through January 31
Where: 1001 Cathedral Road, Bryn Athyn

The first floor of the museum will be decorated for the holidays! This includes poinsettias, wreaths, and a Christmas tree with antique glass ornaments.
Enjoy a self-guided tour of international nativity-related art dating from the Middle Ages to the present day.
Children are invited to take the Nativity Seek and Find and will be rewarded with a prize.
Traditional decorations of the family will be on display, including the Steiff donkey, collectibles, and the three-part Pitcairn Cabinet Nativity that has been on display every year since 1939.

Baby Goat Feeding, Donkey Snuggling and Lamb Lovin’ at Rose Bridge Farm

When: Various times, now through January 27
Where: 1314 Limekiln Pike, Dresher

Rose Bridge Farm has 8 new rescued baby goats, and you can assist in animal husbandry! They will be holding sessions where you can help feed the rescued baby goats, lambs, sheep, baby and mama donkey, and horses. During the session, you will learn about the animals and how to care for them. Sessions are $25 per person for 1 hour, and you must register for EACH person attending. Book your session HERE.

“The Neverending Story” at Colonial Theatre

When: Friday, January 22 through Thursday, January 28
Where: 227 Bridge Street, Phoenixville

The Colonial Theatre reopened on January 15! Come out to see an 80s favorite on the big screen. You can purchase tickets for public screening or book a private screening. Masks are required, tickets are limited, and seating is has been blocked to limit the number of people in each theater. Find out more HERE.

Frozen Event at Sweet & Sassy

When: Saturday, January 23 from 2:45 p.m. to 4:05 p.m. and Sunday, January 24 from 1:20 p.m. to 2:40 p.m.
Where: 250 Plaza Drive, Collegeville

Join Anna and Elsa for a special treat! Your little one will love getting a Frozen-themed makeover complete with princess up-do, polish, and a princess coronation with tiara, dancing and singing. Everyone over the age of 2 must wear a mask. Only the child and one accompanying adults can attend. Cost is $30 per child. Sign up HERE.

Keep the Change Duo at Bernie’s Glenside

When: Saturday, January 23 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: 391 Highland Avenue, Abington

Keep the Change Duo will be making their first appearance at Bernie’s. Bernie’s recently debuted their new tented dining area, which they’re calling “Bernie’s Winter Lodge” complete with cozy fireside seating and beautiful lights. Indoor seating is also available.

Winter Wonder at Longwood Gardens

When: The new exhibits open January 23
Where: 1001 Longwood Road, Kennet Square

This winter, it’s all about outdoor spacious, indoor oasis, and the power of story. Opening January 23, Longwood Garden’s Winter Wonder season celebrates the tranquility of the outdoor winter landscape, welcomes you to a sanctuary of warmth (with a tropical twist!) inside othe Conservatory, and invites you to join storyteller Charlotte Blake Alston with the new, beautifully poignant Voices in the Landscape exhibition.
Travel along a series of 10 stops throughout the Gardens as Charlotte Blake Alston’s impactful words honor and celebrate the strength, resilience, and contributions of the African American community through the lens of horticulture and the power of story.
