Sometimes it still feels surreal to think that I won this makeover!
While many in our culture are used to immediate gratification, the real makeover process will take some time and effort. I am definitely willing to make the investment .
So far, I have had the opportunity to be evaluated by John and Sarah at Bair Knuckles Strength Training. They put me at ease immediately as we got down to business. They identified some of my problem areas such as balance and misalignment of my hips and immediately came up with some exercises to address my issues. We saw some results in some small things immediately. I look forward to attending classes there twice a week.
This week I also had my Coolsculpting consultation at Healthy Solutions Medspa. Inna and the staff that worked with me were very kind. I have to admit that I had never heard of this procedure before. Basically they have a machine that literally freezes fat cells. The target area is suctioned into an applicator with a gel to prevent frostbite and this is done for one hour. . There is no down time because it is not an invasive procedure. As the cells break down they are reabsorbed by the body and fat in a specific area is reduced. The most dramatic results are seen after 60 and 90 days after the treatment. I have chosen to have the area on my stomach treated. It seems to be the most prominent problem area to me. I don’t know what it is, but ever since I turned 50, fat has seemed to accumulate too easily around my midsection. I am excited to see how the Coolsculpting process works.
I look forward to all the new paths that I will travel on this journey!
