Community Events

Hippety Hop

Visit the park to meet the adorable resident rabbits. Learn about wild rabbits as well as their domesticated relatives. Make a craft to take home. Preregistration is required; deadline for registration is April 3rd; weather permitting. All activities will be outdoors. For ages: 3-7; suggested donation is $4 per child

Easter Workshop for Kids

When: Saturday, April 13 from 1 to 3 p.m.

It’s springtime and the mill staff has four vintage inspired crafts for kids to make: decoupage eggs to hang; a 3-D butterfly and flower card; a cute bunny mask; and an adorable black and white spring lamb! Refreshments will be provided. Location: Classroom Building. Preregistration & payment required by Fri, April 5. Ages: 5+, accompanied by an adult; fee is $5 per child.

Color your Eggs – Naturally

Looking for an alternative to chemical food coloring tablets from the grocery store? Join the park staff in a creative adventure coloring Easter eggs using natural materials! Bring a dozen hard-boiled eggs and sample colors from Mother Nature’s palette. Spaces are limited, pre-registration is required! Children’s Nature Series: Eastern Cottontail Rabbit

Now is the perfect time to learn about all the bunnies born each spring, especially our local rabbit, the Eastern Cottontail. Hear a story, make a craft and meet a friendly rabbit from Elmwood Park Zoo. Pre-registration required; meet in the Salt Wing. For ages 3 & up with an adult; fee: $5 per child.

Egg Hunts


Eco-Egg Hunt at Norristown Farm Park

When: Sunday April 7th at 2 p.m. (ages 3-5 years), and 2:15 p.m. (ages 6-8 years)

Enjoy a different kind of egg hunt. This educational allows children ages 6–8 to follow a series of ecological clues hidden in eggs in the woods and fields. A final treasure will be found at the end of the hunt. Younger children (ages 3–5) will simply hunt for eggs. Children ages 3-5 should bring a small basket for collecting.

Designed for children ages 3-8 with an adult. There is a $1 fee per child. Pre-registration by April 4th; meet at the pavilions.


Bethlehem Baptist Church

A faith-filled Easter Celebration beginning with a youth service at 11:30 am. Stay for the free lunch provided by Chick-fil-A & Papa John’s followed by a faith-filled egg hunt from 2 – 4 pm. Children can search for eggs filled with candy and prizes or open a golden resurrection egg which contain miniature symbols of Easter. Floral & Hardy

When: April 20 at 10 a.m. (ages 5 and under) and 12 p.m. (ages 6-10)
Adult Easter Egg Hunt and Party is 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Floral & Hardy is hosting Easter fun for all ages! There will be two egg hunts for the kids, divided into two age groups. Let your kids loose in this garden center’s back yard to hunt for candy-filled Easter eggs. They may also find a golden ticket for a chance to win other prizes! Later in the afternoon, there will be an Adult Easter Egg Hunt! Bring your friends for a festive afternoon and enjoy the party! Floral & Hardy of Skippack will be co-hosting this event with Justin’s Carriage House Restaurant & Bar in Skippack.They will be giving away OVER $1,000 worth of prizes, including SIX GRAND PRIZES!! This gigantic, free egg hunt has thousands of Easter eggs, an egg launch, visits with the Easter Bunny and other movie characters, inflatables and 5 age specific egg hunt fields. Egg hunts are divided up into separate fields according to age level and a new hunt starts every half hour. Free parking is available at Methacton High School, located at 1005 Kriebel Mill Rd., Collegeville with a shuttle bus running to the site.

Bring your cameras for lots of photo ops with the Easter Bunny! Enjoy the farm and pick up all your Easter essentials. Fresh spring blooms like daffodils, tulips, hyacinths and pansies as well as Easter chocolates and candies from Asher’s and Bergin’s.
