10 outstanding individuals have been named the Top 10 Movers & Shakers of the year, and we have the honor of sharing their stories on Montco Happening. Meet Horsham’s Carol Berger, the owner of All Places Traveled:

Montco Happening: Where did you attend school?

Carol: Upper-Dublin High School, some college at Montgomery County Community College

Montco Happening: What motivates you every morning?

Carol: Life in general, I am happy to have a new opportunity to make a difference every day

Montco Happening: What would you say is your idea of a perfect day?

Carol: Living each day to the fullest and doing the best you can

Montco Happening: Who inspires you?

Carol: My daughter, Shannon

Montco Happening: How did you decide to become a travel agent?

Carol: 13 years ago, I wanted a part time job I could still allow enough time to devote to my daughter, therefore the travel industry provided me the perfect opportunity.  I grew to love it and turn it into my own business

Montco Happening: Which achievement are you most proud of?

Carol: From a personal stand point, raising a wonderfully independently strong daughter. From a business stand point, continuing to have the opportunity to assist clients in making memories. In 2007 as a travel agent performing community service, I was nominated in the top 100 of 2400 travel agents in the Godmother contest for the new Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas ~ recognized for my volunteering/organizational efforts of annual fundraising events for childhood cancer research from 2003 (until 2014)

Montco Happening: What has been the biggest challenge you’ve had to overcome?

Carol: My personal health and creating a successful business competing with the internet

Montco Happening: What is the biggest accomplishment that you’d like to achieve over the next 5 years?

Carol: To continue to grow a successful business, while maintaining the opportunity to give back to the community

Montco Happening: How do you think your friends & coworkers would describe you?

Carol: Hard-working, dedicated and caring

Montco Happening: Where’s your favorite place to go in Montgomery County?  

Carol: I would have to say that I don’t have a favorite place, I love exploring the area, attending outdoor concerts in the park and volunteering when I can. I am a runner and enjoy so many beautiful locations in Montgomery County to run with friends

Montco Happening: You can take a time machine back to visit yourself 10 years ago. What advice would you give? 

Carol: To always have a positive attitude no matter what life throws your way

Carol: To always be proud of where you’ve come from, how far you have come and where your life will lead you
