If you are looking to enjoy a music-filled summer, local Montgomery County parks will keep you happy all season long. The free outdoor concerts are sponsored by many local community organizations and are open to everyone. Just bring your blankets, chairs and a picnic supper if you’d like and enjoy the varied sounds and musical styles planned by the concert sponsors. Jenkintown

Meet in lovely downtown Jenkintown every Tuesday evening at 7 pm for live music featuring a variety of bands. July 4th will a special evening of Americana, featuring individual performers. Free ice pops and water distributed by the community Rec Board.

Huntingdon Valley

End the weekend with relaxing music in a beautiful park setting every Sunday night at 6:30 pm in Masons Mill Park. Bring blankets and lawn chairs. Smoking, pets & alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the park. No concert July 2.

Montgomeryville

Montgomery Township Community and Recreation Center

This summer music series is a rain or shine event every Thursday from 7 to 8:15 pm. In case of inclement weather, the concert will move indoors to the Community and Recreation Center. Featured bands will offer a variety of styles including classic rock, blues, Broadway, patriotic and even an Elvis impersonator.

Towamencin Township

Towamencin Township’s summer music series runs only for the month of July on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 pm. Bring blankets and chairs and enjoy music from a variety of bands playing from the park’s outdoor stage. Free to the public.

Lansdale

White’s Road Park

The Lansdale Borough Council once again presents its free summer concert series on Tuesday evenings in White’s Road Park at 7 pm. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs for seating in the beautiful North Penn Rotary Centennial Band Shell. The series will feature bands from all over the Tri-state area and include a wide variety styles from classical to country.

Upper Merion Township

For the 33rd year Upper Merion Township is sponsoring its Concert Under the Stars summer music series. Concerts are held Sunday evenings beginning at 6 pm, with a beer garden sponsored by Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery opening at 5pm. Food samples are available each week from different sponsors including Bonefish Grill, Outback Steakhouse, Moe’s Southwest Grill and the new Valley Forge Casino Resort’s del Valle Taco Truck. In case of rain, concerts will move indoors.

Green Lane

The Green Lane Amphitheater will host The Southern Edge Band on Saturday June 24th at 7pm and the Kategory 5 Band on Sunday, Aug. 6th as part of its summer entertainment series. In July, the park will switch gears as the Commonwealth Classic Theatre Company puts on its rendition of Romeo and Juliet for audiences on Sunday, July 9th. All programs begin at 7 pm and are free to the public. Bring lawn chairs and blankets.
