Sam is a 3 to 5-year-old altered male terrier/lab mix who was rescued as a stray from ACCT Philly. Sam has been fully vetted, is UTD on vaccines and is microchipped. He has been living in a foster home with school age children for 6 weeks and has done amazingly well adjusting to home life. Sam is completely house trained, crate trained and is able to be left loose in the house without any problems. He is on a grain-free diet due to skin allergies and allows handing of his food and water bowls without difficulty. He takes treats gently and is very food motivated, so teaching him tricks and commands is a piece of cake. He walks easily on the leash, checks in with his handler frequently and enjoys leisurely walks with his person. He enjoys baths and rides in the car, as well. He is extremely friendly to people, dogs and cats. His favorite game is tug with a rope toy and he loves to chew on bully sticks as a nightly treat. He knows commands such as “sit”, “down”, “no”, “come” and we are working on “off” and “leave it”. Sam would make a wonderful pet for a first time dog owner, a family looking to add another dog to their “pack” or anyone looking for a devoted companion to spend time snuggling and hanging out. Tiny Miracles Rescue is a non profit 501c3 organization dedicated to solving the problem of pet over-population. At the farm, they provide a safe refuge for animals in need. Their adoptable pets have been abandoned and/or are saved from “high-kill” shelters where their odds of ending up in a loving home are poor. Once there, they will receive love, attention, a health evaluation, and help to find their perfect forever family. All of our adoptable pets are altered, vaccinated, and given heartworm and flea preventatives. Their temperaments are carefully screened so that they can be placed in the correct adoptive homes. They also serve as a resource to the community by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of altering your pet, positive behavior training, and pet nutrition. Be sure to check both our website often to see our available animals.
