Enough can not be said about the caring and charitable hearts of all those who attended the 12th annual Taste of Phoenixville event. This yearly fundraiser was held on January 16th at the Phoenixville Foundry and was host to hundreds of local residents, business owners, organizers and professionals. All of who’m gathered together to help recognize and support the amazing humanitarian efforts of the Good Samaritan Shelter. Montco Happening was honored to help act as media sponsor for the first time this year, and we could not have been more inspired by the kindness of all those who attended, the goal of the event itself and most importantly, the selfless efforts of all those who work and volunteer at the Good Samaritan Shelter.

Phoenixville’s Good Samaritan Shelter provides transitional housing and supportive services to homeless men in the Phoenixville area as well as supporting women and children at their location in Lancaster. The annual Taste of Phoenixville event is the largest and most important fundraiser of the year for the Shelter. Over 25 local restaurants were there to contribute by serving up some of their best dishes to hundreds of guests while live music and specialty cocktails kept the party in full swing. It was an incredible night of giving back at one of the most impressive venues in our region. Check out our photo recap of the nights events and please visit the Good Samaritan Shelter for more information on how you can help support their incredible mission.
