Commonwealth Classic Theater Company makes a return visit to Green Lane Park on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 7:00 pm. This year’s production is Shakespeare’s beautiful and heartrending masterpiece, Romeo and Juliet. Young love and old grudges collide in this timeless romantic tragedy. Critically acclaimed director Kathryn MacMillan returns to CCTC with a fast paced and thrilling exploration of a divided world, not much different from our own, in which love struggles to rise above the barriers of love and fear.
CCTC, a non-profit organization, celebrates 13 years of bringing free classic plays to regional parks throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. www.commonwealthclassictheater.org. Seating is not provided. Please bring blankets and chairs.
The Green Lane Park Amphitheater is located at 2298 Green Lane Road near the intersection of Hill Road, just off Route 29, in Green Lane, Pennsylvania. Green Lane Park is operated by the Montgomery County Parks, Trails, and Historic Sites Division.
