Spring Fair and Festival Guide 2018

After a long winter, spring is finally here, so it’s time to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather. All over Montgomery County communities are holding outdoor festivals with plenty of music, food, shopping and fun for the entire family. Check out our list of what’s happening.

Spring Fest 2018 – May 12 & 13

Bring Mom out for the great weekend featuring food, crafts, music and shopping in Skippack Village on Sat. May 12 and Sun. May 13 from 10 am to 4 pm. Live music and plenty of pop-up vendors will be on hand in addition to the open doors of the village shops. Treat Mom to lunch on one of the many outdoor patios.

Country Fair & Auction – May 18 & 19

Relive the fun of an old-fashioned country fair on Fri., May 18 and Sat. May 19 on the EC-8 campus of Dock Mennonite Academy. Start the event off Friday night at the chicken BBQ dinner on site or pick up some BBQ chicken at the drive-thru location at Franconia Mennonite Church on Rt. 113. Don’t forget the strawberry pie, a local favorite with 1,000 sold last year! Saturday events include an all you can eat pancake breakfast, 5K race and 1 mile fun run, kids’ game tents, inflatables, Mom’s Market, face painting and more. Towamencin Community Day – May 19

Towamencin Township is sponsoring their annual community day on Sat. May 19 from 12 to 4 pm. The Montgomery County Concert and Jazz bands will provide live music in addition to performances by dancers from the Dance Centre and the Aisling Mor Academy of Irish Dance. Activities for the family include a food court, inflatables by A+ Jump, police and fire department activities, face painting/balloon animals, free pony rides, games, and a magician. There will even be a free zip line! Vendors and community business, nearly 100 in all, will be handing out free information on services and products available locally.

Annual Fair Day & Pie Festival – May 19

There’s nothing more simple or delicious as a freshly baked apple pie. Come get yours at the Church of the Holy Spirit’s 10th annual pie festival and fair on Sat. May 19 from 9 am to 3 pm. Parish members or anyone from the community can enter a pie in the competition. Don’t bake? There will be plenty of home baked pies for sale. The fundraising event will also feature local artisans, a treasure chest flea market, car wash, food, a large plant sale and children’s events. Clover Market – May 20

The Clover Market is a seasonal open-air market with a rotating line up of vendors and artisans that visits various locations through the Philadelphia region. The Market will set up shop in Bryn Mawr on May 20 from 10 am to 4 pm. A lineup of skilled artisans and food vendors will be on hand. Located on Bryn Mawr Ave. between Morris Ave and W. Lancaster Ave., visitors are encouraged to shop the local stores downtown as well. For more details, visit the Market’s website here.

Narberth Spring Music & Arts Festival – May 20
Haverford & Forrest Aves., Narberth, PA 19072

Enjoy the arts in Narberth on Sun., May 20 from 2 to 7 pm during the annual music and art festival. This outdoor event flows through the streets as musicians entertain and local artisans display and sell their handcrafted items. This year’s entertainment lineup includes The School of Rock, Rad & Kel and Nash & the KZP. Artists Alley, located on Forrest Ave., features handmade, one-of-a kind items; early-bird shopping begin at noon. The event is free, although a $1 donation is requested as part of a fundraising effort by Kelly Music for Life.

Lansdale Day – June 2
Main & Madison Sts., Lansdale, PA 19446

Join the Lansdale community in celebrating their town with all day fun on Main Street on Sat., June 2 from 10 am to 4 pm. Visit the juried art show and craft vendors, stroll through the display of new cars, or stop by Pet Alley to get the latest products for your best friend. Enjoy the food and community service vendors all along the street. Adults will love the Beer Garden and ‘El Toro’ the mechanical bull. Kids will love the dog agility show and zip lining. All monies raised at the event go to support local charities.

Ambler Arts & Music Festival – June 15 & 16
Butler Pk., Ambler, PA 19002

Embrace all that Ambler has to offer during this two day festival celebrating music and the arts. Live entertainment begins Friday night and goes strong with 11 hours of music on Saturday. Stroll down the main street and shop craft and food vendors, then take in the art exhibition. Visit the beer garden or wine tent and dine at the town’s many fine eateries. Lots of fun activities for the kids too!
