When you think wine, does your mind immediately go to the Napa Valley or the Finger Lakes? Why not start thinking Montgomery County and its four wineries that offer samplings, tours and special events for local wine lovers.
California and New York are the top two wine producers in the country, but Pennsylvania wineries produced the fourth highest amount of wine in the nation during 2014, over 10 million gallons. Although the county’s wine trail is small, it includes four area wineries where visitors can sample and purchase over 30 varieties of wine including reserve red, hybrid whites, meads, ciders, dessert wines and port. Check out these trail stops below for special features and events offered by each winery.
