Where to Go in Montco: Your Weekend Guide

With the beginning of May upon us, First Fridays are in full effect! Head to Ardmore, Haverford, Bryn Mawr, Glenside, or Hatboro for fun festivities, including art, music, extended business hours, and more! Also, Green Wolf’s Village Barn Shoppes in Skippack will premiere their monthly art exhibition, as well as the latest works of art by resident artist, Andrea O’Driscoll, owner of Art by Heart Studio and Gallery.

Get out your running shoes! On Saturday, May 5th, head over to the Abington Art Center for the 1st annual fun run / bike / walk through the Sculpture Park at 8am. $25 entry fee will benefit Abington Art Center. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place runners. A Health & Fitness Expo will take place in the Alverthorpe Park Pavilion from 9am to Noon. Entry Fee is $25 for adults and $12 for kids.

Head over to Roo Fest in Jenkintown on Saturday, May 5th. This annual spring fair is held on the grounds of Abington Friends School. Enjoy food, live music, games and activities, pony rides, annual plant sale, classic cars, alumni day, kids crafts and a car wash

Start your week off with a relaxing Free Yoga Class on Sunday, May 6th from 10am until 11am at Lululemon in the King of Prussia Mall. Beginners through Experts, all are welcome! Mats are included.

Sunday, May 6th is Community Day in Fort Washington, a family friendly day with garden tours, games, and activities for children of all ages! Tour the Sinkler Garden, play historic games, meet costumed guides, sample 18th-century style ice cream, watch-or learn-Colonial dancing, see Canalside Retrievers demonstrate their hunt test and field trial skills. FREE and open to the public.
