This Wonderful Life Comes to Act II Playhouse

Act II Playhouse in Ambler presents This Wonderful Life, a hilarious one-man adaptation of the classic movie It’s a Wonderful Life, on stage for three weeks only, Dec. 6-24.
This Wonderful Life stars Act II Playhouse Artistic Director Tony Braithwaite as all of the characters in the beloved movie.
“This show combines several loves of mine: impressions, direct address, and a love of this film,” Braithwaite said. “It’s a Wonderful Life truly is one of my all-time favorite films and I honestly can’t watch it without crying at the end.”
This Wonderful Life was written by Steve Murray, conceived by Mark Setlock, and adapted from the original screenplay by Frances Goodrich, Albert Hackett, Frank Capra, and Jo Swerling.
Half of the 20 performances are already sold out, so audiences are encouraged to purchase their tickets soon for this limited engagement.
Tickets for This Wonderful Life at Act II Playhouse are $27-$38. Discounts are available for subscribers, students, group of 10 or more, and seniors (65+). Tickets are available online at, by calling the Act II box office at (215) 654-0200, or in person at 56 E. Butler Ave. in Ambler.
The production team for This Wonderful Life includes Tony Braithwaite (Director), Mary Carpenter (Assistant Director), Colin McIlvaine (Set Design), Courtney Boches (Costume Design), John Stovicek (Sound Design), Andy Shaw (Lighting Design), and Lauren Davenport (Properties).
