PHestivaL of Trees

Christmas Village in Philadelphia

Christmas Village in Philadelphia is an outdoor holiday market event in Center City Philadelphia, which is modeled after traditional Christmas Markets in Germany. Vendors in wooden booths will set up shop during the holiday season to sell a wide variety of international holiday gifts, ornaments, jewelry and high-quality arts and crafts, as well as traditional European food, sweets and drinks. The unique atmosphere of lights and delicious smell of waffles, gingerbread, bratwurst and mulled wine will bring your family into the perfect Christmas spirit.

LumiNature at Philadelphia Zoo

Philadelphia Zoo is excited to light up the holidays once again with the return of LumiNature, presented by Chase. The giant-sized holiday extravaganza will transform the entire zoo into a nighttime wonderland. Guests will experience a magical journey of lights, music, sounds and surprises. Gobble Wobble is the beloved annual YMCA Thanksgiving 5K in the Greater Philadelphia region. This year, there are in person and virtual options. Proceeds from the race provide financial assistance to community members and youth who want to connect to healthier lives through fitness centers and programs. Register here.

MoTown Turkey Trot

When: Thursday, November 25th, 9:00 am
Where: 1020 Horsham Road, Montgomery Township Aka: “MoTown”, PA

Montgomery Township, PennDOT, Fire Department of Montgomery Township and various local businesses have come together and changed the name of the North Wales Turkey Trot to the MoTown Turkey Trot. There will be music and you’ll run under the Fire Department of Montgomery Township’s ladder trucks, just before you cross the finish line. There is a 1/2 mile kids’ fun run, a 2 mile fun run/walk, a 5k and an 8k. Register here.

Toss Your Turkey 5K

When: Thursday, November 25th, 9:00 am
Where: Montgomery County Community College, 101 College Drive, Pottstown, PA

The 2021 Toss Your Turkey is on as a live and virtual event this year. All entrants have the opportunity to “toss” a frozen turkey (which will be provided) from 7:00 – 8:20 am, and after the 5k race. The male and female who toss the turkey the furthest and runs the 5K will win Saucony shoes from the Chester County Running Store. Baked goods will be given as awards to age group winners and five year age group winners. The course is very flat and the first 600 entrants will receive long sleeve tech shirts. Sign up here.


Thanksgiving Gymnastics Camp
