Over the next couple of weeks, Montgomery County is celebrating the Halloween season with haunted houses, ghost tours, fall festivals, and events for the whole family to enjoy. Halloween Lantern Tours – The Lost Treasure of the Louisa
Saturday, October 21, 6-9:30 pm
Historic Hope Lodge, 553 S. Bethlehem Pike, Fort Washington, PA
Imagine the time is 1800 when Hope Lodge is called Whitemarsh Estate and James Watmough is proprietor. Explore the property for the The Lost Treasure of the Louisa, an immersive tour on the grounds of Historic Hope Lodge where you look for the lost gold! Investigate the crime and look for the treasure all while learning a little history! Tours are outdoors and recommended for ages 7 and up. It’s encouraged to bring a flashlight.
A Walk Among the Graeme Ghosts & Mini Paranormal Investigation

Experience Halloween in Horsham’s most haunted house. A Walk Among the Graeme Ghosts is a first-of-its-kind immersive theatre program that sends you into Graeme Park’s haunted halls, alone with spirits. Arrive early to enjoy fireside stories that will give you clues to the spirit activity you will see first hand. The Mini Paranormal Investigation will be held in the Keith House, long rumored to be Horsham’s most haunted house. Groups of 10-12 people will station themselves around the house with a professional investigator who will walk them through various investigation techniques and equipment while trying to contact the Graeme Park spirits.
Bates Motel & Haunted Hayride

Last year the America Haunts Group named the Bates Motel and Haunted Hayride to Legendary Status, one of only five in America! The Build Crew has been working overtime to make new giant sets that will put the Hayride over the top. The Bates Motel is a high startle, high action haunted attraction and not recommended for children under 8 or those with heart conditions. From the moment you enter, you will be transported to another time and world. The Haunted Hayride is a 25 minute horror ride through the tall forest of Arasapha farm.
Pennhurst Asylum
When: Weekends through November 4th
Where: Bridge St & Church St, Spring City, PA
One of Pennsylvania’s most terrifying haunted attractions, the Pennhurst Asylum is located outside of Philadelphia in Spring City, PA. There are three different attractions to explore, The Asylum, The Tunnels and The Morgue. Daytime history tours are also available. On November 4th, experience Pennhurst in the dark! Halloween Funky Brunch and Market

Howl-O-Ween Pup Parade and Family Fun Day

The Downtown Glenside Foundation presents the 2nd annual Howl-o-ween Pup Parade and Family Fun Day on October 21st in Downtown Glenside from 12 pm to 4 pm. Dogs can strut their stuff in the spirit of Halloween (costumes optional). Prizes will be awarded for Best Costume, Best Dog and Human costume, Best Trick. No dog is needed to attend and enjoy the fun. Festivities include pet vendors, kids’ activities, great food & shopping, and more. The registration fee is $10 per dog with a portion of the proceeds going to Pooch Kaboose, a dog rescue in Jenkintown. All Dogs should check-in from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm for the dog parade with judging commencing at 12:45pm. The rest of the festivities will continue until 4pm. Registered pup parade guests are also encouraged to stop by Primex Garden Center (435 W Glenside Ave) between 9 and 5 for a doggy bag filled with treats and other goodies for your furry friend.
Harleysville Halloween Parade

The 3rd Annual Halloween Parade and Fall Fun Fest is taking place October 21st. The parade begins at Indian Valley Middle School and ends at Harleysville Community Center where the Fun Fest will begin, with games, food, drinks, a magician and more.
