Memorial Day Weekend is known as the unofficial start to summer, but more importantly it is a day to remember and honor our fallen heroes who have served in the United States armed forces dedicating their lives to our country, its citizens, and our democracy. This guide will help you plan a weekend of meaningful ceremonies, festive activities, and local events that recognize U.S. military personnel and their courageous commitment to our freedoms.

Weekend Events

May 26
220 W 1st Ave, Collegeville, PA 19426 (Water Works Park)

Join in on the festivities at Collegeville-Trappe Community Day on May 26 at Water Works park. Community Day will open following the Collegeville-Trappe Memorial Day ceremony which begins at 11am. Bring along your family and friends for a community concert, giant inflatables for the kids, bubbles, a free old-fashioned carnival, music, and delicious food from various local vendors. This event is led by the VFW Post 7155.  

May 24 || 11 am- 1 pm
Historic Montgomery Cemetery, 1 Hartranft Avenue, W. Norriton

Join the Montgomery County Historical Society for their Memorial Day Observance on Saturday May 24. The ceremony will include wreath laying, a rose petal ceremony, activities for children, volley fire, and Irish Thunder Pipes and Drums. 

May 21-24
Harleysville Community Center, 435 Park Drive Harleysville, PA

The Harleysville Jaycees Country Fair is the largest fundraiser supporting local organizations including police, fire, EMS, local food banks, the Harleysville Community Center, scout troops, youth organizations, and more! Support your community while soaking up all the fun the Country Fair has to offer. Enjoy carnival rides and games, a festive parade, vibrant fireworks, delicious food and drinks, and so much more!

Monday, May 26 || 11 am 
2100 Koffel Road, Hatfield, PA

The Hatfield American Legion Memorial Day Ceremony will be held on May 26 at 11 am. Join your community in remembering and honoring those who lost their lives while serving in the United States armed forces. Guests will gather inside the Legion Post 933 after the ceremony for free food and refreshments! 

Memorial Day Parades

Monday, May 26 || 9am
Market and Broad St. Hatfield Borough

Join the Hatfield American legion for the 79th annual Memorial Day parade at 9 am following the wreath laying ceremony at the Veteran Memorial. This event is a great way to honor our fallen heroes on a day dedicated to them and their service. 

May 26 || 10am
Augustus Lutheran Church on Seventh Avenue in Trappe, PA

Join the VFW Post 7155 at the Collegeville-Trappe Memorial Day Parade this Memorial Day– Monday, May 26. Area residents, groups and businesses, and animals and bikes, are encouraged to participate in the parade down Trappe Borough’s Main Street. The parade will include over 50 groups and individuals representing our veterans, military, non-profit groups, Boy and Girl Scouts, marching bands, resident decorated floats, dancers, antique vehicles, and more! The Remembrance Observance will begin at 11 am following the parade. 

May 26 || 9am
Main St., Landsdale PA

Join Lansdale Borough for their annual Memorial Day parade on May 26. Join your community in honoring our fallen heroes who gave all for our country! The parade will begin at 9 am and will proceed up main street. It will conclude with a meaningful ceremony in Memorial Park at 10 am.
