The 2012 Winetober Fest is gearing up for yet another year of festivities. This open air festival located in the heart of Skippack will be filled with wine enthusiasts and dog lovers from far and wide! Last years turnout brought more than a thousand people and their four legged friends into this picturesque part of town, and this years will be no exception. The streets will be infused with local foods and wine samples from some of our areas most reputable wineries. Art exhibits will also be on display while live music fills the air. So if you need an excuse to call the babysitter, this would be the one! Proceeds will benefit the Ronald McDonald House and Harley’s Haven Animal Rescue! What better reason do you need to come have some fun this fall? The event is a perfect opportunity to unplug from the daily grind, and it’s a chance to slow down to appreciate the simple things in life. Montco Happening is proud to be a sponsor of this annual event, and we hope to see everyone in our community come out to enjoy themselves for an afternoon of relaxation, after all, it’s for charity! The festivities will be uncorked on Saturday October 13th, from 1pm-6pm. Tickets are on sale now and they go fast, so book them while there is still time!
Winetoberfest was created by Tara Shiffert in 2010 as a means of bringing people together for a great time in our community while helping benefit two fantastic charities.. Tara is the owner of After5 Gifts on Skippack Pike, and is the mind behind the magic for this celebrated occasion. Her store offers uniquely tasteful cocktail accessories and home decor that is ideal for any gift. But After5 offers far more than just popular merchandise on their shelves. If you are looking for a great place to socialize in a comfortable setting, or to talk and share your passion for everything red & white, then their wine clubs are just the thing for you. It’s also a fantastic spot to host your own birthday, bridal, or martini party! Their wrap around porch is ideal on nice days and can accommodate up to 25 people. Tara also brings in wine aficionados to teach classes for the newly discovered wine lovers.
As you take a stroll through Skippack Village, you’ll discover multiple covered venues offering wide varieties of wines from numerous Pennsylvania wineries. Burgundy colored mum’s placed throughout the side streets will designate the locations of the venues that are hosting the Pennsylvania wineries along with perfectly paired food samples, live music and art exhibits.
All Attendees must show valid photo I.D at the door to be admitted. You must be 21 or older to attend this event. No Exceptions! Proper identification is the responsibility of the attendee. Failure to present proper, valid photo identification (driver’s license or passport) will result in denial of entry with no refund offered.
