2025 Happening List Winner: Theater

Currently showing at the Act II Playhouse is Paul Slade Smith’s “Theatre People.” Adapted from the Hungarian farce “Play at the Castle,” the show follows a married couple visiting a hotspot for show people as they try to adapt a young novelist’s play for the Broadway stage. First Friday September "Wizarding World of Gary the Otter"

2025 Happening List Winner: Outdoor Event

The theme for September’s First Friday event is “The Wizarding World of Gary the Otter.” The festival will have live music from Rick’s Office Band and DJ Tone Arm. There will also be food trucks, a beer garden, local businesses, a kids zone, and entertainment, including jugglers and face painting.

Expedition Escape

2025 Happening List Winner: Amusement and Group Outing

Expedition Escape has eight themed escape rooms with unique storylines. If you are into fantasy, you can step into an imaginary world with The Curse of the Hidden Temple or Quest for the Throne. You and your friends can role play as robbers in Bank Heist or prohibition era gangsters in Blind Tiger Speakeasy. If you are feeling more hero than villain, you can be a helping hand in Santa’s Holiday Hat Hunt, Lucky Dice Diner, or Aunt Edna’s Inheritance. Call or Book Online.

2025 Happening List Winner: Nature Spot

Norristown Farm Park has over eight miles of paved trails with opportunities for walking, jogging, rollerblading and biking. The park is a hotspot for birdwatching with over 170 species of birds recorded. Visitors can also fish in two trout-stocked streams, Stony Creek and Kepner Creek.

2025 Happening List Winner: Museum

The Berman Museum of Art, a teaching museum at Ursinus College, was created by a partnership between the school and philanthropist couple Philip and Muriel Berman. Current exhibits include paintings, prints, sculptures, and artists’ books by students and faculty as well as nationally recognized artists. One current exhibit, Colette Fu’s A Day in the Terraced Rice Fields, is a life-size pop-up book installation inspired by the women Fu met in the Longji Rice Terraces in Guangxi, China.

Telford Night Market is a weekly free-to-attend event with live music, food trucks, vendors, and kids crafts. The final night market of the season will be on Wednesday, August 27. The theme is “Welcome Fall” and there will be music by Henry Hopf.
