On May 22nd, 2016, Hatboro’s Absolute Music School will host a benefit concert, “Voices for Vets,” to raise money for Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Inc. The fundraiser will take place at VFW Post 6493, 645 Louis Drive, Warminster, PA 18974. More than 65 music students will perform songs in various genres such as Broadway, country, and popular music. Admission is free, and all servicemen with an ID will receive $15.00 in free raffle tickets!

Since the inception of their annual fundraiser seven years ago, the Absolute Music School has raised over $40,000 for various charities, such as Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Gilda’s Club, and the Wounded Warriors Project. In 2015, after seven years of performances for the residents of the Delaware Valley Veterans’ Home on Southampton Road in Philadelphia, Absolute Music School has decided to have an event that would honor our brave veterans. Last year, “Voices for Vets” raised over $8,000. This year, the students are hoping to raise an additional $10,000 to benefit the Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors.

Raffle prizes over the years have included baskets with gift cards and items from local business and a grand prize of 2 nights at the Golden Plough Inn of Peddler’s Village. Sponsors are recognized on t-shirts and programs.

100% of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the all-volunteer, nonprofit organization Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Inc., a non-profit organization whose mission is to “restore wounded warriors to good physical, mental, and emotional health.” The founders, Maj. Gen. Gerald Sajer and his wife, Helen, have been on the frontlines of aiding families since 2006. The Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors supports a full range of programs and services for this generation of injured veterans and their families.

About Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors
The unpaid staff at PA Wounded Warriors consists entirely of volunteers who donate their time, expertise, and support to Pennsylvania veterans. Through generous donations, they are able to help them with payments, including, but not limited to, mortgage/rent, educational expenses, and medical expenses not covered by insurance or other programs. They also help with temporary housing to combat veteran homelessness.

The Absolute Music School offers voice, piano, guitar, bass and drum lessons to all ages. Our students present up to 30 free concerts per year at retirement and veteran homes, township and county days in addition to benefits like this one. This allows the students to gain experience performing in front of an audience; a win-win situation. The Absolute Music School has been voted Best of Hatboro 8 years running, the Best in Lessons in Who’s Who and the Best Entrepreneur for the past 7 years.
