While we’re feeling hopeful about the new year, you’re likely to still be spending a lot of time at home this winter. January is National Hobby Month, and it’s the perfect time of year to pick up a new interest or devote a little extra time to a current hobby. Hobbies can help you relieve stress, keep your brain active by learning something new, and fill those long winter days. (They can even offer some safe excuses to get out of the house for a bit!)

Many of the area libraries host book clubs! (At this time, they might be virtual.) Check with your local library to ask for details.

In addition to the popular paint and sip art classes, The Mud Shack offers one-time and four-week Wheel classes where you learn to pull and shape your own pottery on a potter’s wheel. Currently, they’re also offering art-to-go kits and online classes.
