Ursinus College has again teamed up with The Collegeville Economic Development Corp. (CEDC) to offer a “Dinner & a Show” promotion featuring the classic ’60s musical “Hair.” The performance is coming to the stage at Ursinus College Nov. 2 – 5, and theatergoers can enjoy pre-show dinner specials at local restaurants for a memorable evening out.
The exuberant musical “Hair,” was conceived as a “coming together for a common reason: a search for a way of life that makes sense to the young that allows the growth of their new vision,” and is as fresh today as it was in the turbulent 1960s. Good Morning, Starshine, it’s the Age of Aquarius!
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, Friday, Nov. 3, Saturday, Nov. 4 and at 2 p.m.Sunday, Nov. 5 in the Lenfest Theater in the Kaleidoscope Performing Arts Center on the Ursinus College campus. For the Sunday afternoon matinee, the specials are available for either lunch or dinner.
Tickets for Hair are $8 general admission and $5 for seniors, students and Ursinus faculty and staff. They can be purchased through Ursinus’ website, the CEDC’s website or
by calling the Ursinus box office at (610) 409-3030.
Individuals will be issued a receipt to show at the participating restaurant on the day of the performance to get the dinner special. They will also need to present their receipt at the Ursinus College box office to pick up their tickets. Theatergoers should arrive at the box office at least 15 minutes before the show begins.
