Summer Event Series

All concerts are outdoors at the Montgomery Township Building Gazebo, Thursday evenings, June through August, from 7:00 pm – 8:15 pm.  In the event of inclement weather, concerts will be moved into the Township Building.
June 18 – Elvis by Dean Garofolo
Ladies and gentlemen, Elvis is in the building!  Dean Garofolo is an authentic Elvis impersonator, and will be performing Elvis’ greatest hits.  Dean won the Dick Clark contest for the best Elvis impersonator and has been impersonating Elvis for many years.
June 25 – Zydeco-a-Go-Go
Rock and boogie to the swinging bayou rhythms of Zydeco-a-Go-Go, a popular band based in the Philadelphia area that specializes in Zydeco, Cajun, New Orleans Rhythm & Blues and vintage Louisiana Rock & Roll.  Guaranteed to be a wild & swingin’ bayou boogaloo Zydeco dance party!

July 9 – Rave On!
Rave On! is a band that features the music of Buddy Holly and Roy Orbinson, playing hits like “That’ll Be The Day”, “Peggy Sue” and “Pretty Woman”, along with other classic early rock-n-roll songs.  This is the music that paved the way for rock-n-roll and influenced the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, and countless other artists.
July 16 – The Mango Men
The Mango Men are one of the most requested summer concert bands due to their interactive and energetic performing style featuring originals, classic rock, pop and a hint of country.  The band takes great pride in fully entertaining their audiences from the very first song to the last, leaving them screaming for more!
July 23 – Mike Greer & Co.
This talented 5-piece band performs a variety of Classic Rock and Modern Rock hits with an acoustic core – they play the songs you love to sing to.  Known for their beautiful, soulful vocals, their expert musicianship, and vibrant energy, will make you want to sing along and get up and dance.
July 30 – Jeanne and the American Dream
This band was created by five talented musicians from northeast Pennsylvania with the goal of taking people back to a time when music was fun.  Their performances consist of Country, Classic Rock, Oldies, Blues and Pop.  You will have a fun time and be moved to dance.
August 6 – Almost FAB
Playing Beatles songs from every era of the Fab Four’s career, Almost FAB will rock your night away while creating a fun atmosphere with the songs that you know all the words to, and you can sing along with.  Almost FAB is a fun and exciting show that will keep you singing and dancing all night long!
August 13 – Two Plus Two
Two Plus Two began as a “new group” in 2006, bringing together a veteran line-up of seasoned musicians who have entertained the Lehigh Valley and Bux-Mont areas for the last two decades.  The group prides itself on the dynamic male and female vocal harmonies on songs from the 50’s to the 90’s.
August 20 – The BelAirs Doo Wop
The BelAirs are the Philadelphia Area’s hottest Doo Wop group that captures those oldies but goodies of the 50’s and 60’s.  The group is comprised of three vocalists that emulate that nostalgic sound and create a “sing a long” party atmosphere.  The group has a following that draws from Philadelphia, and it surrounding suburbs, South Jersey and Delaware.

Ambler Restaurant Week

Ambler Main Street is pleased to announce the return of Ambler Restaurant Week! The highly anticipated culinary & community event will start on Monday, July 13th, 2015, and will run up until the following Monday, July 20th. Ambler’s 2015 Restaurant Week will feature over a dozen restaurants offering prix-fixe menus and exciting specials throughout the week. Dinner prix-fixe menus range $20-$35 on average, and lunch menus, $12-$20. Several restaurants are offering an optional beverage pairing, as well.

Ambler’s favorite eateries will be participating this year, including those who were on the forefront of Ambler’s renaissance, Bridget’s, KC’s Alley, and Trax Restaurant & Café, as well as exciting newcomers like, The Lucky Well, Hungry Bear Cafe and 34 East Tavern. There are also some very special restaurants from just outside of the Borough that will be offering diners a mouth watering menu, including Cantina Feliz and Zakes Café.

Variety is the spice of life, and this years Restaurant Week is offering a wide range of delicious dining options. You can experience everything from a Modern Steakhouse to Southern Style BBQ, Italian, Indian and more! There are also several BYOB options available during Ambler Restaurant Week. With such an array of dining possibilities, deciding where to eat will not be easy, so plan to visit more than one restaurant during the week and make your reservations ahead of time!!!

Pottsgrove Manor

Now through Sun., Nov. 8th during regular museum hours: Pride of Place – The Local Legacy of the Potts Family

In 2015, The Borough of Pottstown celebrates its 200th anniversary. By the time of its incorporation in 1815, the town’s namesake, John Potts, was long gone, but the legacy of the Potts family lived on in the region. This exhibit will highlight the contributions of later generations of the Potts family to local history – and to preserving Pottsgrove Manor itself.

The “Pride of Place” exhibit can also be viewed during a guided tour of Pottsgrove Manor during regular museum hours through November 8th: Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm and Sunday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Tours begin on the hour. The last tour of the day begins at 3:00pm. There is a $2.00 per person suggested donation for the tour.

June 13th, 5 pm to 8 pm: Distilling the Past at Pottsgrove Manor

Join us for an evening with the Manatawny Still Works!
Attendees will get to sample this local distillery’s products, including their signature J. Potts Whiskey and T. Rutter Rum, while learning about the beverages that the actual John Potts and Thomas Rutter bought and consumed in the 18thcentury.
Appetizers will also be served as guests mingle with interpreters in period dress on the Manor’s historic grounds at this new event.

24th Annual Pottstown Rumble

The Pottstown Rumble is a 4 day fun-filled event – Thursday June 25 to Sunday, June 28, 2015. Along with amazing competition at all levels of the tournament, the Rumble offers plenty of other activities. The Rumble starts off Thursday with the Dream in Gold Clinic hosted by 3-time Olympic Gold Medalist Misty May with her Father Butch May – 1964 Olympian. Other instructors include high level volleyball players and coaches. Friday brings our Pottstown Rumble Juniors Grass Doubles Tournament ages 18 and under. Saturday morning starts off with a bang with a beefed up fireworks show as over 2,000 players eagerly wait to start their day. Saturday afternoon brings Women’s Pro Finals to center court while the Men’s Pro division wraps up Sunday afternoon competing for the $5,000 first place price. There will be gourmet food, clothing vendors, an on-site massage therapist, and high-energy music throughout the weekend!! All visitors welcome!!

All registrations are first come first serve! You will be notified prior to registering if you are NOT at the main field. Anyone registering after June 21 will be charged a late fee of $20 per entry, this includes walk-on’s if space is available. Walk-on’s will most certainly be playing on satellite fields.
