Food, beer, wine, movies, music, cars and even reptiles! There’s a little of everything this weekend in MontCo. (Including a brand-new Bastille Day party!) Here are our picks for things to do. Remember to check out our 2019 Summer Guide for even more ideas.

Trails on Tap: Valley Forge National Historical Park

When: July 10-12 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and July 13 and 14 from noon to 9 p.m.
Where: 1400 N. Outer Line Drive, King of Prussia

Trails on Tap brings a pop-up beer garden to different Montgomery County parks this summer. Stop by to relax in chairs and hammocks while enjoying beer from Mainstay Independent Brewery and delicious food. On Saturday and Sunday, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., you can try out a kayak from Take It Outdoors Adventures or ride a bike supplied by Riverbend Cycles.  A portion of all proceeds from Trails on Tap will benefit the nonprofit Schuykill River Greenways and be reinvested toward protecting the river and expanding the Schuylkill River Trail.

Movie in the Park: Mary Poppins Returns

When: Friday, July 12 at dusk (roughly 8 p.m.)
Where: White Road’s Park, 400 White’s Road, Lansdale

Bring a blanket and popcorn and enjoy the show!

Oaks PA Reptile Expo

When: Saturday, July 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: 100 Station Avenue, Oaks

Calling all reptile lovers! The Reptile Exo will showcase thousands of reptiles, snakes, amphibians, inverts and more. All of the vendor tables are sold out, so chances are good that you’ll find any species you’re interested in! Tickets are $10 at the door (cash only) or $8 online.

Lansdale YMCA Car Show

When: Sunday, July 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: 608 E. Main Street, Lansdale

The Lansdale YMCA is partnering with Harleysville Charity Supercar Show for their first car show! All cars are welcome, with a focus on high end exotics and supercars. There will be a 50/50, raffle baskets, giveaways, food vendors, and more!

Dinner on Main Hosted by Historic Trappe

When: Sunday, July 14 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: W. Main Street, Trappe

Celebrate Historic Trappe at a unique community dinner in the middle of Main Street! Enjoy an unforgettable meal featuring seasonal garden-to-table fare in the company of friends and neighbors. Tickets are $50/person and include appetizers, dinner, dessert, and beverages (including wine and beer). All proceeds benefit the Historic Trappe special projects fund. The dinner will be held between The Speaker’s House and Henry Muhlenberg House; park in the Trappe Shopping Center or St. Luke’s UCC via Rt. 113 entrance. If it rains, dinner will move indoors at Imperial’s Catering. Tickets can be purchased here.

Ardmore Bastille Day Block Party

When: Sunday, July 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Station Avenue at Lancaster, Ardmore

Celebrate your love of French food and culture with an all-day party thrown in honor of the 230th anniversary of the storming of the Bastille. Station Avenue at Lancaster will be closed down and filled with French and French-inspired food, pastries, wine, cocktails, music, can can dancers and more! This family-friendly event will also feature bocce ball, corn hole games, moon bounces, face painting, and crafts. The Bercy is hosting a special Bastille Day Brunch Buffet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $25 per person and an outdoor French Wine Garden. Ardmore’s Bastille Day Block Party is presented by The Bercy, Delice et Chocolat and Ardmore Initiative, along with local neighboring businesses. The festival itself is free to attend, with food and drink pay-as-you-go. Admission to the French Wine Garden requires a separate ticket.

Ardmore’s Bastille Day Block Party is a brand-new signature event that will also double as the kick-off for Ardmore Restaurant Week, which runs July 15th to July 28th.
