There’s something for everyone this weekend! Here are our picks for fun things to do in Montgomery County from March 1 through March 3.

Sherlock Holmes: The Baker Street Irregulars at DCP Theatre

When: Friday, March 1 at 8 p.m., Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Where: 795 Ridge Road, Telford

This family-friendly show is great for all ages. With his own disappearance, Sherlock Holmes himself has become London’s great mystery. Now, it is up to a band of young rascals, the Baker Street Irregulars, to solve this case on their own. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased online here.

Mardi Gras Party at Montella’s Pub

When: Friday, March 1 from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Where: 25 S. Broad Street, Lansdale

Wear your best mask and join the fun at Montella’s Pub this Friday! There will be specialty food items, drinks ($6 Hurricanes!) and lots of beads. DJ starts at 10 p.m.

Philadelphia Flower Show

When: March 2 through March 10

Where: The Pennsylvania Convention Center, 12th and Arch Streets, Philadelphia

As the nation’s largest and longest-running horticultural event, The PHS Philadelphia Flower Show is a favorite Philly tradition. This year’s theme, “Flower Power” pays tribute to the incredible impact flowers have on our lives. Flowers have the power to convey emotion, inspire, decorate and style. They transcend cultures and borders. Come see this awe-inspiring celebration for yourself. Tickets can be purchased here.

Join the Continental Army!

When: Saturday, March 2 from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Where: Valley Forge National Historical Park, 1400 N. Outer Line Drive, King of Prussia

Children are invited to Join the Continental Army and experience a day in the life of the continental soldier. Recruits will be mustered, or registered, by receiving enlistment papers and continental currency. Recruits will then be issued wooden (dummy) muskets and learn how to stand, march, and carry their musket as one of Washington’s soldiers would have done. Park rangers dressed in continental uniform will train the recruits in a full musket drill. This is the second of three events with the third taking place on April 6. Please arrive between 10 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. to sign in. The event will begin at 11 a.m. at the Visitor Center.

Family Magic Show at Smoke & Mirrors Magic Theatre

When: Saturday, March 2 at 2 p.m.

Where: 2840 Pine Road, Huntingdon Valley

Prepare to be amazed! This magic and comedy show is geared to audiences of all ages. Show runs about 60-70 minutes with tickets starting at $15.
