But since the holiday isn’t the only fun thing happening, we’ve also put together a list of a few more events to check out. Here are our picks for things to do in Montgomery County from March 15 through March 17.
King of Prussia Restaurant Week
When: Now through Sunday, March 17
Where: King of Prussia District, 234 Mall Boulevard
Dine out for a good cause! From small plates to family-style, fast casual to fine dining, you’ll find it all in KOP. Visit your favorite (or try something new!) during KOP Restaurant Week and enjoy incredible prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus benefitting Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s (CHOP) King of Prussia Specialty Care Center. Price points include $10, $15 or $20 for lunch and $20, $30 or $40 for dinner. See the list of participating restaurants (and menus) here. While you’re in KOP, shop at participating KOP Shops for CHOP retailers to save big and add to the donation to CHOP KOP. In four years, participating restaurants and retailers have raised $58,000 for CHOP KOP.
Field of Tulips: An Indoor Garden Experience at Willow Grove Park
When: Friday, March 15 through Sunday, March 17
Where: Willow Grove Park Mall, 2500 Moreland Road, Willow Grove
Willow Grove Park has teamed up with Bloomia to bring an indoor garden oasis to the mall March 15-17. Explore the garden featuring a variety of tulips in different shapes and colors, all hydroponically grown in the USA. You can even pick the flowers to purchase! 10% of proceeds will benefit the Humane Society, the local charity handpicked by Willow Grove Park. Highlights during the weekend include a pet-friendly “Yappy Hour” Friday night and yoga in the garden Saturday morning. Entry to the garden is free. Get more details here.
Philadelphia Dance Theatre Presents “Emperor and the Kits” at MontCo Community College
When: Friday, March 15 at 7 p.m.
Where: Montgomery County Community College’s Science Center Theater, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell
The Lively Arts Family Series and Philadelphia Dance Theatre present a traditional tale reimagined as a beautiful ballet. With choreography by Joy Delaney Capponi, featuring the dancers of Philadelphia Dance Theatre, you will be charmed by this enchanting story of courage and hope. The second half of the program will feature the Breaking Ground series of new contemporary works. Tickets start at $15 and can be purchased here.
Tannery Run Brew Works Grand Opening
When: Friday, March 15
Where: 131 E. Butler Avenue, Ambler
Pennsylvania beer growth is not slowing down! Another great brewery is opening its door this Friday. Tannery Run Brew Works is located near the Ambler Theater and below Twisters. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony from 11:30 to 1:30, with Mayor Jeanne Sorge doing the honors at noon. Later that night, TMA Trio will provide some tunes during the Grand Opening Party from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
