LOWER PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP

The 5th annual Lower Providence Township Community Tree Lighting is scheduled for Friday, December 7th at 6:30 pm at the Township complex in Eagleville. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive in style on top of a firetruck which is then followed by the lighting of the 50ft. Christmas tree. The entire town will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland that will feature holiday music, decorations, christmas lights, pictures with Santa, refreshments and more! Performances by the Arcola Intermediate School Select Chorus, the Arcola Girls Ensemble, the Methacton Community Theater, and the Sweet Adelines will be happening as well. The Township will also be collecting canned goods for their annual food drive along with coats, hats and gloves for “Feel the Warmth.”

SOUDERTON/TELFORD

Christmas is happening in Souderton with the kick off of their Holiday Parade on Saturday, December 7 at 11 am. The holiday fun doesn’t end there as the Township will have refreshments, music, hot chocolate, crafts and more! After the parade, stick around town for the Souderton Tree Lighting in the Sculpture Garden on Main Street at 7pm.

The holiday season starts in Conshohocken on Friday, November 29th with the Annual Tree Lighting. This community event will light up Conshy form 6pm-7:30pm and will include a DJ, as well as hot chocolate and treats, and a pot of chili from local favorite Lenny’s Deli. Mayor Bob Frost will have trivia and prizes for the kids, followed by the arrival of Santa Claus being escorted into town by the Conshohocken Fire Companies!

 SKIPPACK

Christmas is happening in one of our counties most beloved towns! The village Christmas tree will be lit on Friday, November 29th in Skippack beginning at i love skippack6pm in the Floral and Hardy Parking Lot. 4007 Skippack Pike. Skippack invites all our residents to come celebrate the joy of the season with carolers, dancing, an impressive tree lighting and of course a visit from Santa. Luminaries in Skippack Village (November 23rd-December 21st, Wednesdays and Fridays)

Every Wednesday and Friday evening from 5 pm to 9 pm, the sidewalks of Skippack Village will be illuminated with the soft glow of candle light outside of some great local shops, restaurants and small businesses. Many of these businesses will be helping shoppers get into the holiday spirit with great deals, activities, refreshments and discounts. Come experience Illuminare nights in Skippack, it’s great for the whole family!

The Ambler Holiday Parade is rolling it’s way through town with Santa and all the holiday favorites on Saturday, December 7th at 1pm. This happening event will feature live bands, floats, Mummers and of course, the big guy in the red coat! All those wishing to grab a good seat should plan to arrive early as the streets fill up quickly for this annual parade. Stick around town to visit all the local shops and businesses in the heart of downtown Ambler after the parade.

COLLEGEVILLE

Christmas in Collegeville will begin this year at 1pm on December 7th! The day all starts with some exercise as hundreds of local residents prepare for the annual Jingle Jog 5k Race! Meanwhile in the trail parking lot on E. Third Ave. next to DaVinci’s Pub, the Holiday Bazaar opens. Anyone not participating in the race can enjoy searching through town for unique gifts games, and then a mid-afternoon barbecue with hot and cold refreshments served up by the collegevillevolunteers of the Collegeville Economic Development Corporation from 4 to 6 pm. Everyone can expect to enjoy carol singing and a performance from The Community Music School and The Dance Depot, along with other local musical talent.

The 2nd annual Christmas in Keswick Village is happening on Friday, December 6th in Glenside. The streets will be alive with holiday cheer and all are invited to come shop, eat and experience everything this area has to offer. Trolley rides will also be FREE from 6 to 9pm in front of Susquehanna Bank, and music will be playing throughout the Village all evening long. As always, Santa will be arriving by fire truck and then a lighting of the Christmas tree will take place in front of the town clock tower.

“WELCOME TO LOVELY CHRISTMAS LIGHTS”lovely house

Located in Gilbertsville Pennsylvania, the Lovely residence is one of the brightest and most happening holiday houses in our area. During the Christmas season, this local house features well over over 30,000 lights that are syncronized to music. In addition to thousands of lights and music, the house is also tastefully adorned with props such as a hand painted Christmas village, a train, two twenty foot mega trees, lots of mini trees, arches, electronic fireworks and more! Every year the Lovely’s change their display to match a different theme. This years theme is “Kids Christmas Party”.

The Lovely family enjoys using their light show and passion for the holidays to help raise awareness for local charities. This this year they will be collecting donations for Help Hope Live. They invite all our residents to “come listen to the lights”!

Santa will be arriving on Friday, December 6th for the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in Railroad Plaza (West Main & Madison Streets). Holiday music will be performed by the North Penn High School Chorus along with refreshments provided by Clemens Food Group and Rosenberger’s Dairies. Old St. Nick will arrive at 6:30pm to lead the Christmas tree lighting countdown.
