Unfortunately, summer is coming to an end….it’s okay we are in denial too. However, there are plenty of things Happening in our area that will help you welcome in September with open arms. Grillin & Chillin at Ft. Washington Park
Grab the family, some food and a bag of charcoal this weekend, and hit the park! We’d say bring your friends too, but everyone knows if you grill it they will come. Ft. Washington State Park is usually a favorite destination for sledding in the winter thanks to it’s steep hills and open space. But this park has even more to offer for the end of summer days. They have a huge pavilion that stands atop Militia Hill Road which is ideal for relaxing in the shade with the kids after a walk through nature. The Hawk perch is a man made structure that allows you to see for miles while at the same time being just feet away from blue jays, cardinals, and hawks just to name a few. Numerous charcoal grills surrounding the pavilion also make for a conveniently fun day in the park with the fam!

PJ Welihan’s Pub in Blue Bell
Just an all around fun place to go this weekend! PJ Welihan’s Pub opened in 2003 and they pride themselves on their ability to cater to different customers’ needs. PJ’s dining & banquet rooms and two bars are ideal for a wide range of occasions, from wedding rehearsal dinners, happy hour work parties, surprise birthday parties, family gatherings, guys watching sports and girls’ night out – all at the same time! Their charming two-level dining room has its own bar, while our unique gazebo-like glass enclosed room is perfectly bright during the day and cozy at night.
