As days become longer amid the blossoming assortments of vibrant flowers, the Spring and Easter season is underway, with pastel colors, bunnies and Easter eggs making their anticipated return. Whether it is dyeing eggs, baking sweet treats, posing for photos or enjoying a meal with the Bunny, Easter in Montgomery County is sure to please the taste buds and preferences of most with many offerings returning this year, after a brief hiatus last year when many restrictions were in place. Prepare your Easter baskets, bonnets and festive holiday attire and celebrate the season while enjoying exciting egg hunts, hearty meals, sweet treats and many other plentiful holiday options at some of these favorite and/or exclusive Montgomery County spots:

As one of the most anticipated and exciting activities of the Easter season, many area locations are once again offering outdoor Easter Egg Hunts for all to enjoy. Horsham VFW Post 9788 Easter Egg Hunt

When: Saturday, April 3, 11am-1pm

Where: Horsham VFW Post 9788, 324 Sawmill Lane, Horsham

Join the Horsham VFW Post 9788 as they host a traditional Easter Egg Hunt from 11am-1pm, open to all children aged 12 and younger! As a free event, a $3 donation per child is requested. Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust Easter Egg Hunt

When: Saturday, March 27, 11-11:30am

Egg Scramble with The Bunny at The Greater Plymouth Community Center

Upper Dublin Township Bunny Hop

When: Saturday, March 20, 1-4pm

Where: Parking lot at Upper Dublin Township, 801 Loch Alsh Avenue, Fort Washington; drive to the designated locations to “hunt” for eggs from the comfort in your vehicle!

Open to children ages 1-12, sign up online for $10 for residents and $15 for non-residents and partake in a Bunny Hop via car! Explore Upper Dublin Township utilizing a map with clues, where there will be giveaways at each stop (10, in total!) There will also be the special chance to spot the township’s own Bugsy O’Hare; keep your eyes peeled as he’ll be hoppin’ around town all afternoon! Easter Bunny Search at Norristown Farm Park

When: Thursday, April 1, 11am & 1:30pm

Where: Specific Event Location to be disclosed upon registering for this event

Open to children ages 3-12 for $3 (fee covers craft supplies), join Norristown Farm Park on an Easter Bunny Search to see if you can find all the hidden bunnies! In addition to searching, children will create a fun Easter craft to take home and will receive surprise eggs! Dragon Egg Easter Egg Hunt & Spring Festival by Summer Quests Day Camp

When: Saturday, April 3, 12-4pm, Tickets (advance tickets are $5, tickets at the door are $8) are required for purchase and reservations are strongly encouraged due to limited space capacity.

Where: Camp Delmont – Musser Scout Reservation, 5505 Upper Ridge Road, Pennsburg

Open to those of all ages, but recommended for children ages 6-12, come in your best costume (costumes not required, but encouraged!) and enjoy a woodland egg hunt, prizes plus medieval games & activities and choose your start time (Noon-1pm; 1-2pm, 2-3pm, 3-4pm).  For more information and the latest updates, continue to check the event’s Facebook page. All guests are required to wear masks and the Bunny, himself, will be wearing a concealed mask. Walk-up visits are permitted when time allows and while not required, reservations are strongly encouraged.

Other Events and Community Celebrations

Beyond traditional Easter egg hunts and bunny photos (some of these below also offer bunny photos!), many communities throughout the county are also offering unique and versatile events and celebrations to commemorate the Easter and Spring season. Whether it is a virtual baking session, an in-person food fest, holiday painting session, train ride with the Bunny, or other creative activities, the festivities are plentiful and are sure to satiate appetites and provide enjoyable opportunities to suit many interests.

DIY Bunny Décor Crafting Event at Coventry Mall

When: Saturday, March 20, 4-7pm

Where: Coventry Mall, 351 W. Schuylkill Road, Pottstown

Offered at $10 per person, with reservations required. Participants will receive all the materials needed to craft a special Bunny craft to add to your holiday décor! Enjoy a fun evening of painting, gluing, assembling and flexing one’s creativity to fuel the spirit of the Spring season and Easter holiday!

Easter Egg Painting Special at Color Me Mine

When: Monday, March 15-Sunday, March 21, each day, 12-6pm, registration required as spots are limited.

Where: Color Me Mine, 801 Bethlehem Pike, North Wales

Indulge your inner artist and create commemorative Easter eggs for $25 per guest, to add to your holiday décor! Easter Bunny Bounce at BounceU of Collegeville

When: Tuesday, March 30, 10-11:30am (Toddler Bounce for children 7-years old and younger); Thursday, April 1 & Friday, April 2, 9:30-11am session and 11:30am-1pm session, both for all ages

Where: BounceU of Collegeville, Trappe Center, 130 W. Main Street, Collegeville

Join BounceU for their special Easter themed jumping event, open to all ages (NOTE: March 30 event restricted to those 7 and under). For a $17 registration fee, each child will be able to jump for one hour, visit with the Easter Bunny, receive a snack and drink, as well as a small Easter treat! A very limited number of tickets are available, given strict safety and health guidelines. Parents and children must wear socks and masks must be worn for those over age 2.

Easter Food Fest at The Ukrainian Educational and Cultural Center (UECC)

When: Saturday, March 27, 12-4pm

Where: UECC, 700 Cedar Road, Jenkintown

Delight in homemade, authentic Polish cuisine this Easter season all made with care and expertise! No dine-in is permitted, but pre-orders are now being accepted until March 20, for pickup the day of the Fest on March 27.

Family Night Easter Cupcake Decorating at The Barn at Providence Forge

When: Thursday, March 25, 5pm or 6:45pm; each occasion lasting roughly 1 hour each

Where: The Barn at Providence Forge, 217 Providence Forge Road, Royersford

Pre-register for this special holiday cupcake decorating event and receive snacks, light refreshments, a giveaway opportunity, and of course, 6 cupcakes, plus all supplies necessary to decorate (buttercream filled piping bags, toppings and a take-home box!) Classes and registration fee is open to 1 adult and 1 child for $45, plus a fee of $3.50. A second attendee and extra set of cupcakes can also be added for $20 additional. Easter Centerpiece Workshops at Floral & Hardy of Skippack

When: Tuesday, March 30, 6:30-7:30pm; Wednesday, April 1, 6:30-7:30pm

Create your own custom-designed Easter Centerpiece for a fee of $49. Pre-registration is required to reserve your space. Included with the registration fee is a decorative white basket, where participants will plant a variety of annuals inside! Choose from pansies, viola, primrose, ranunculus, bellis and ivy, then add moss & stones. All included is the container, plants, soil mix, as well as decorative items! The event is held in the outdoor tent and is open to a limited number of participants to maintain social distancing.

Colebrookdale Railroad’s Easter Bunny Express

When: Saturday, April 3, 10am, 1pm, 4pm; Sunday, April 4, 10am, 1pm, 4pm

Where: Colebrookdale Railroad, 64 S. Washington Street, Boyertown

Hop aboard the Easter Bunny Express and enjoy an adventurous excursion with Peter Cottontail on board and the Easter Bunny, outside in the open car, himself! Purchase advance tickets. Prices vary according to age (toddler through senior) and seating and starts at $15 through $70.  All children will receive an Easter-themed coloring book, 10 pre-filled Easter eggs and will be treated to the story of the Velveteen Rabbit read aloud throughout the journey.
